Believe it or not South Carolina could finish with the same record as us if they win today and their bowl game and we lose today and our bowl game. Exact 9-4 records and Beamer would go into the offseason with a ton of momentum and talking some serious smack.

Why should they? We blew it. We’re not playing for anything anymore. We had a perfect situation and we couldn’t handle it. We ended up being everything everybody suspected….LUCKY AND OVERRATED! Way better season than I expected. Let’s beat vandy, win a good bowl game, develop some talent, especially defense, and see what happens next year.

Could happen, especially if ND wins tonight. If USC is in playoffs have to think Oregon goes to Rose Bowl. Someone has to play Tulane in the Cotton. If Bama in Sugar, LSU and Clemson in Orange. That leaves either us, PSU, or Washington.

But if ND wins tonight it causes a lot of problems for us, including ND likely jumping us in the rankings

Following the loss - which will not be mentioned by name - and having HH go down, it seems that the Game Day folks might feel we are done. A lot of us really don't care what that group thinks or says.

I always watch SEC Nation and, as said before, they did an excellent tribute to Hooker today. Laura Rutledge is as sharp as any of the cast and ain't too bad to look at, especially after looking at PF.

I don't think anyone called Clemson a real top team most of the year. Most figured that they should have enough to solidly beat South Carolina.

No. You can spin it any way you want. Taking an absolute, and I mean absolute a$$ whipping like we did right before the playoffs is all that matters. It’s over. This is not the time for the hype train to die, and it not only died, it plummeted to the bottom of a ravine.

BTW, That piss poor SC team is ranked one spot below UT in the team composite talent rankings (17 to 18).

Contrary to the opinion of so many on here, that team is not completely devoid of talent. And Rattler, while he is wildly inconsistent, was a 5-Star recruit and has some talent himself.
