i thought a few months ago that he would survive it, too. i know now that he won't. if pearl isn't fired, this university will never live it down. he's gone, probably after the ncaa tournament. oh yeah, he'll be taking hammy with him.

One of the most annoying things in sports media is an analyst who hints at things because he is an insider but doesn't actually report the information. Either report on it or don't bring it up. Happens here too but posters aren't professionals.

Jimmy Dykes is a UK joscksniffer. I am surprised that he doesn't service Calapari during a 30 second timeout like he did for Pitino. I watched the Arky Uk game and even thoug Arky won, he talked on and on about UK. You guys will get your wish and Pearl will be gone. Then UT basketball will slump off into the netherregions again, and you same guys will be on here pissing and moaning about how bad the team is. This year has been a down year, but still better than any year under Houston, O'Neill, Green, Peterson, or DeVoe for that matter. SO what if the University takes a black eye. Bama did in football, does it really matter? UK did in basketball, does it really matter? Those are the two winningest programs in football and basketball respectively, I'd take their all time records for a couple of lumps now and again. The whole student/athelete thing is a fallacy. What matters is wins and losses, let's get real.

Well since Pearl cried & apologized for lying in a news conference, then 4 days later cheated again. He needs to be fired. He's a cheat in his personal life as well as professionally. So it's hard to support him as coach. Him & Hamilton are responsible.

If Pearl gets a show cause could he sue the SEC for their punishment since there was no NCAA hearing yet and it is not their usual way of handling these things? Could he sue the University for their highly unusual punishment that included a pay cut Prior to hearings and findings. I am not sure if this has ever been done before the NCAA findings come out.

I don't want him gone but I doubt the NCAA will cross ESPN and their anti UT clan.

Yeah, I really like the fact that the so-called analysts get it wrong most of the time, like Lou Holtz. Of course, they don't come back and rub it in their face like they should because they don't know jack, just spouting off as if they are the know-all, be-all.
