I don't like what it may do to us. I think it will push UT to the middle of the pack. I don't think this rising tide will raise all of the boats. Not to mention it will be tough to hold on to an annual game with Bammer.

I think it stays at two divisions

adding Texas A&M to the west, along with Missouri

FSU and Clemson to the East

Would there be enough games in the season to get two more conference games in? I guess we could just take two non conference games off our schedule...

How's 4 divisions going to work? Is there going to be some kind of SEC Playoff now?

Not that it isn't a cool idea.

IMO...

North: UT, UK, Vandy, Mizzou

South: Bama, Auburn, Georgia, MSU

East: Florida, FSU, Clemson, SC

West: LSU, Ole Miss, Arkansas, A&M

Reportedly, Florida State and Clemson are not part of the SEC wish list. They do not offer anything to the TV demographics.

Reportedly, the SEC is hotly pursuing North Carolina and Duke in the east and another Texas school or Missouri in the west.

Mizzou, Duke, and UNC would add good football and great basketball to the conference.

I get the breakdown but how is a champion going to be determined? North Champion plays South Champion and East plays West and then the winners play for the Championship?

Sorry but I will have to see a source to believe this. UNC/DUKE will bring nothing to the football table and lets be honest that is where your money is. I probably woudln't even want to watch those games. Another Texas school is not going to join unless it's Tech and I don't see that happening.

I wouldn't mind seeing this just for the simple fact of rubbing Mark Gottfried's face in it after the comment he made a couple of days ago.

i agree. they won't have 4 divisions. how would the playoff to go to the sec title game work ? it wouldn't. probably only 3 non-con games a year now. 9 conference games. 7 divisional games and 2 from the west. let's get started !!!!!

The 4 teams would be ranked 1-4 by overall conference record. 1 would play 4 and 2 would play 3.

I'm assuming with 16 teams that the divisions will be realigned in a drastic way. Just wondering how the SEC will group the teams.

Missouri would add decent football, and I think UNC has the potential to be consistenly decent, but Duke is awful, so overall, no it wouldn't bring "good" football.
