Luginbill has always been a Big 10 homer.Tom Luginbill: "The Tennessee fanbase. Oh my goodness, talk about being sponsored by Kleenex."
The show's gimmick was having folks pick from groups of teams. In Tennessee's group was Oklahoma, North Carolina, Texas A&M, and Wisconsin. Luginbill said he'd pick Tennessee, but then said "oh wait, Joe Milton, I forgot about that" and decided to go with another team. The hosts said "oh watch out for the Tennessee fanbase," and that's when Luginbill said Vol fans were sponsored by Kleenex.
Also, just going to leave this nugget - Luginbill picked Clemson in the Orange Bowl. So. Well done, Tom.
Bingo. A "lugie" is a phlegm wad, according to the slang dictionary. For example, I've had a head cold all week & have expelled several "lugies". Tom's name fits.I see it as a Badge of Honor.
He wouldn't be making a snotty remark [insert product placement] toward Kentucky or Miss State, because they are on no one's radar. Tennessee is.

And I was surprised to see that Tom already has a facial tissue endorsement that honors the expressions of his weighty opinions...

I will be honest, there are is still a lot of media hatred out there about the Greg Schiano situation. USA is, more and more, a nation of elites and if you go against the elites, you face backlash.
I agree. Happy Birthday Greg Schiano, 56 today. We were vilified for not taking the failed Bucs coach who "rehabbed" under Urban Meyer, ESPN's pillar of moral turpitude. So, since Greg went back to the Scarlett Knights he was 3-6 in year one; 5-8 in year two; and just completed a stellar 4-8 campaign. Believe me, ESPN truly wanted those numbers to be ours. Remember, ESPN is NOT journalism. ESPN is a network that fills the airwaves with woke propaganda in between sporting events. Tennessee and our fan base are reviled because we have minds of our own and use them. Wouldn't change a thing. Go Vols!I will be honest, there are is still a lot of media hatred out there about the Greg Schiano situation. Does it really matter what he or any other media type says? Not trying to be argumentative, but it's always the goal of reporters and mouthpieces to stir up controversy. Garners attention/eyeballs which lines their pockets. Screw 'em all. I'll let our team speak for itself on Saturdays. If it bothers Milton, he's the one to make them eat those words.SIAP...I thought he could show more respect for the Vols considering the position he has at ESPN..But apparently not during this show....

Dude on the left is a joke. He should go back to the frat couch he rolled off of and leave football analysis to those who actually pay attention.SIAP...I thought he could show more respect for the Vols considering the position he has at ESPN..But apparently not during this show....
