Ethan Davis Next Season

LSU? Because we’re ranked in the high teens(18 in total offense) I get we are solid and great last season but we are not the “best offense in college football” not in 2023 in the slightest
Hendon Hooker was splitting reps at Virginia Tech and put up Heisman numbers at Tennessee.

JOE MILTON lost the job at Michigan and this year produced 3000+ yards and 30+ TDs while only throwing 5 INTs.

We had the most banged up OL we’ve had in recent memory this year and still averaged over 450 ypg despite our WRs being average AT BEST.

The accolades on Heupel’s resume are too long to list. If y'all want to sit there and pretend like you have some good ideas for improving the best offense in college football, go ahead but you will sound like an idiot.

You’ve got to be kidding. Milton was a terrible quarterback, playing in a spectacular offensive system. He was a six-year, senior that’s been in heupel’s system for 3 years.

QBs are judged on three factors. Do they consistently throw accurate passes, are they explosive in the run game, and do they consistently make savvy/intelligent decisions (such as always knowing the down and distance at all times and getting the defense to just off sides and taking advantage of the free play etc).

Tell me which of those three skill sets Milton unquestionably has.

We legitimately could have been playing in tomorrow’s game if we had a quarterback, that was just a consistently accurate passer. I wish nobody had ever seen Milton throw a damn orange 90 yards or whatever. That is the most meaningless skill a quarterback could possibly have.

Yes, but he needs to use them in other games
He did. Vol TEs have caught 42 passes for 511 yards and 8 TDs this year.

You evidently didn’t watch- perhaps too busy looking down at your keyboard typing Sad Sack posts. Or else you saw it and just can’t comprehend the game.

You think Chip Kelly’s offense is better than Josh Heupel’s? I’m not talking about this years numbers. I’m talking about the system as a whole.
You stated the best offense in college football and we were not that this year so you’re wrong. Try to spin that however it makes you feel better but we were NOT the best offense in the country. And for the first time in his tenure Heupel had more than a few questionable calls. If you want to pump it for what it’s not go ahead, I still believe in Coach but next year will be telling for a lot of questions people have

It’s not his system. It’s Briles. And this year I would have to say that Lebby wore it better.
Who was Lebby’s QB? I can’t keep up with where he’s coaching. But I’ve always been impressed with him too.

I said what I said and you, like a couple others, heard what you wanted to hear because finding an argument you can win makes you feel good. Often times I am wrong, but not about this. The permatroll negavol criticized Heupel’s system and I defended it, because complaining about the best offense in the country (as if the changes you’d make to it would make it better) is stupid.

Milton is not very good. That’s my point. How many offenses would allow a QB like Milton to produce over 3000 yards and 30 TDs? Can you name a worse QB with better numbers?

Gabriel. Or at least most of the season. He may have missed a game or two. Lebby is now the head coach at State. I would think that will be an interesting matchup next year.

Milton in Pruitts system would have probably produced 2008 level Crompton numbers.

You just argued his point for him.

It’s actually not Briles’ system. Briles ran the veer and shoot. Heupel’s is his own system, albeit a derivation of Briles’ system.
When they asked Heupel what the difference was between his Missouri and US offenses he made a comment about Lebby adding to it. I’m not near enough of an expert to look at film and tell the difference between our offense and Baylors except the uniforms and the angles that the running backs run look different. Maybe it is his own system but I don’t remember his WRs being spaced that wide at Mizz. Maybe they were and I just didn’t notice.

The fact a group of people QUESTION CJH’s tenure is not surprising. I mean there are people still questioning GOD. Folks can question anything and posture facts any way they want.

NONE of us are the arbiter of truth, and arrogance of certainty leading to sustained public agendas is what it is also. Thinking support of like minded folks is really validation is laughable.

But it’s not the best offense in the country… down significantly from the previous season soo people are bound to complain? It’s apparent it’s very hard for you to comprehend. 2022 we were a top offense, 2023 we were not. See how that drop off would make people question things?

So you’re comparing a football coach and a game to God or a religious situation? Yeah you’re a follower for sure, keep eating that Elmer’s glue and thanking them for the vanilla ice cream 😂

Exactly…People like to point to the talent discrepancies, but with all the talent Georgia possesses, they would have two losses with Milton at QB.

I think Heupel met his match this year believing he could flip the switch in Milton. I really believe we’ll all of a sudden start seeing the offense click again as we will be able to run the full playbook next season.

Heupels system insists on having a mobile QB who enjoys running occasionally. Milton did not.

Nope, not comparing it at all. Just pointing out some people will argue with a stick and expect to win. It is an ego thing. So never be surprised folks will take idiotic positions argumentatively and be willing to die on that (those) hill(s).

I see what you’re saying and I agree. People will find a reason to nitpick about anything especially on the internet. I still think heupel is the guy, like his ability to adapt with a different skilled qb instead of doing the same thing and losing
