The worst part about ESPN giving exposure to this person without checking sources is it’s gonna motivate all the trolls everywhere to try to fool media outlets again.
Your right it’s not a troll problem, it’s a lying problem. Troll is used instead of the word lying. Let’s call them what they are liars.I don't think it's a troll problem. It's a professionalism problem as a journalist or broadcaster you need to know who, what, and how accurate your sources are. If you report trash maybe you aren't ready for a primetime broadcast. Maybe they should just have them broadcast on ESPN+ until they learn and become better at what they do.
Agreed, no matter what that announcer has lost all credibility. And his decision has a huge impact on ESPN. Personally I think it was such a bad look that the guy needs to be fired.I don't think it's a troll problem. You would think a corporate entity like ESPN would be constantly indoctrinating their broadcast crews on protocol. Our IT department is incessant. The worst part about ESPN giving exposure to this person without checking sources is it’s gonna motivate all the trolls everywhere to try to fool media outlets again.
Actually Twitter has been weaponized for all sorts of total deception and has literally help lead to massively expensive investigations etc. I realize most understand exactly what I mean. So…for ESPN to do something so clearly unprofessional and libel isn’t overly shocking any more. Only way sanity is restored ( barring a massive nationwide revival) is what we’re seeing play out in damages court. Get them for millions and the gig is up. Just ask CNN.The worst part about ESPN giving exposure to this person without checking sources is it’s gonna motivate all the trolls everywhere to try to fool media outlets again.

I don’t have Twitter or Facebook so y’all have itAdding fuel to the fire the announcer Troy Eklund is a former Razorback baseball player.
I'm trying to decipher your comment. Are you ensenuating I'm on medication that wore off, I need to take a few deep breaths before posting and smoke one? If I did understand that correctly, I am medicated for mood stabilization and anxiety as I am extremely hot headed but I can't engage in your suggestion to smoke one to calm down. 9/29/2008 was the last time I touched anything and the day I decided to change my life. It was chnage my life, go to prison, or get killed in the streets. I chose to change my life and get sober. If I misinterpreted your post I am sorry. I'm a lover not a fighter these days unless you say or do anything to my family.sometimes the meds wear off and words come into your head. Usually best to stop, breathe, walk around the house once't & smoke 1.5 marijuanas. Then type.
Back in my day we'd take people like that behind the Waffle House and beat them with a tire iron. People these days are too soft.
