Could help, but we only won 3 road games when he played in 11-12.
Seems to be a deeper problem.
Our road record with Maymon playing last year was just as horrible. IMO Maymon is not the answer.
We win when we drive the ball or feed the post. That is the formulation for our success. We will still have Trae, Richardson, and McRae looking like they need to be playing in a middle school girls league when they try and feed the post. The 3 are the worst passing guards that I have seen combined on one team. McRae has shown that he can hit the 3, but he is streaky. I'd love to see his 3 pts % away vs home. Once those 3 get out of rythme, they quit driving the ball. They can't feed the post. And we see them jack up 3s. CCM for some reason can not control his guards to "consistently" play the style of ball that wins us games.
And we had 2 or 3 games where they were doing it well this season. then it just faded into the sunset. Our road record with Maymon playing last year was just as horrible. IMO Maymon is not the answer.

Question - What if Maymon does not make back next season? Every game home game that I attended this year (which was all but 2) including the last one, Maymon was definitely favoring his left leg. I understand that he has over seven months to rehab/recover however it has not appeared that Maymon has been progressing very quickly this season.
Being the eternal pessimist, I fear you may be right. This is what I wonder about. Not so much that he seems like he is favoring his leg, but what if he isnt ready when next season comes around? What if he isnt close to the same as he was? I am afraid people are expecting too much from him in the future, and we may not even have him next year.
I hope he comes back just as good next year, but he has been out for a while, and not playing basketball.
Being the eternal pessimist, I fear you may be right.
The length of this injury has me believing it could be one of those 2 year recovery issues or even career ending.

Don't think they would blame him but a lot of hearts would be hurting.I really hope its not career ending, but that is what I am thinking. Infections can be nasty. Couple that with the time off, no practicing, etc. I am thinking the worst on this one.
I hope nobody blames him if he tries to come back and just cant go, or at least not at a high level.
Really; I thought most of you would have learn a simple lesson with our football team, switching coaches is not a good thing especially with recruiting. 2014 is setting up to be an awesome team, just be patient. CM has got this.
Simple Fact is that most of the cryers will never be happy with CCM because he is not Pear. Martin could win the whole tournament next year and the very first down year you would be screaming for his replacement. Jordan McRae went from all bust team to all SEC and Stokes is Mr Double Double and Martin hasn't done a good job?
Last thing as I head to work, It wasn't Martin that lost to Bama it was the five guys on the court. They know how to play against a zone now and still they just set at the three point line and ran St Pearl's 3 jack offense. That is just as much the failure of the players as it is the coach.
