As the 5th best one loss team......:ermm:

Auburn will prob. be the highest ranked one loss team.

Cal will prob be just behind Tennessee with Texas just ahead.

Top three will be Ohio St, USC, Michigan and prob. followed by WV and Louisville but not sure about the order of the last two and if maybe Auburn might slip in between them or even ahead of them.

Auburn, Notre Dame, Florida and Texas will prob. all be ahead of Tennessee though.

Im not sold on us being tenth, although it may happen. We are the only school to beat 2 top 10 teams this season before Auburn did it last night. We lost to another top 10 team by a point. Auburn got blew out by Arkansas, so that should put us ahead of them. Texas got blew out by OSU, which IMO should put us ahead of them also. ND, same story with Michigan. Louisville doesnt rate to be in the top 10 IMO after squeaking by Cincinatti last night. UT has only gotten better as the season has progressed...pollsters should take notice of that. All we can do is win the rest of our games...whatever happens, happens.:hi:

They SHOULD take notice, but they won't.

No way they move a bye team past teams that won this week, especially won big, like Texas and others.

I think we have a right to be on even keel or slightly above the one loss teams who got it handed to them in their only loss. ND will get in their due to their Media Darling status. But we deserve to be with Texas, a flip flop with them would be the only fair way I think. We have proven our worth in the toughest conference in the land, If we win out...we have an argument.

Think for a moment about what we're discussing and how amazing this is . . . Back in August, how many of you would have believed that when the first BCS poll was released, we were going to probably ne top 10?

I'm not fussing really, as much as I am letting people know what to expect.

I don't agree now that we have seen all these games played, that Tennessee should be 10th, but I know that will fire up the team and make them continue to play hard.

I don't see us being 10th. They had a prelim BCS ranking and we were 7th behind ND and ahead of Texas and WVU. I don't know that Texas will make a huge jump, nor will WVU. We may drop to 9th. I suppose Texas and WVU could jump us and Auburn, but I doubt it. I see 7th-9th. We have as good a chance at being 6th as 10th.

I can. They have one of the top scoring offenses in the nation and obliterated Oregon. They are in the lovefest that is the Pac 10 so their SOS gets a pass.

Cal continues to make us look good every week. I think they will beat USC this season. Cal is putting up 40 points a game, destroying everyone they play. But they will never be able to erase the beating we put on them. I think UT will come out around 6-7 in the BCS above ND and behind Texas.

I still can't figure out all the love for Cal.

I think ABC is working on their build up to the Cal/USC game.

Speaking of love, can you guys ever remember so much overt love for the SEC than the national media has dished out this year? Especially given the fact the Michigan and Ohio State are both undefeated.

At some point, the obvious becomes impossible to deny.

We actually jumped a spot in that poll didn't we? I thought we were 8th? That's good, I hope we're that high when the BCS comes out, who knows though, we could be shocked and be in top 5? I HIGHLY doubt that, but it could happen....6th-7th sounds about right though

I'd love to see the SEC Champion (assuming it's Tennessee, Florida, or Auburn) play the winner of the Michigan/Ohio State game for the national championship.

Far-fetched at the moment, a lot would have to happen.

So many of the computer polls are SOS formulas based only on the teams you have played so far.

4 of our 6 opponents lost yesterday.

We dropped from 6th to 10th in Sagarin's poll as a result.

We were 7th, but only .0022 ahead of Texas and only .0044 ahead ov West Virginia. Both of them and Auburn should jump us, and thus we will fall to 10th.

No, thats Sagarin's poll, not the Coaches. We dropped from 6th to 10th in his poll that figures into the BCS.

The BCS uses the ELO CHESS from Sagarin's Power Rankings, which only bases the strength of the opponent, not any kind of margin of victory.
