Extra spots for next year

Too many. You take high schoolers, transfers, and then a few Jucos if needed. Especially now that there is a one time transfer rule.

Seems very narrow minded to base the future of the roster on such absolute convictions. You take the 32 best that fill the gaps you need. If the staff deems that 10 of those guys are JUCOs, then I'll trust that's best for the roster. To use an example from this year, it would have been stupid to not give T. Evans a spot in favor of K. Salter just because Evans carried the "baggage" of JUCO while Salter was straight out of high school. In many cases, I'm actually more weary of transfers than I am JUCO guys. I do think NIL will basically deem the transfer system as free agency, and will be a major factor for SEC rosters when we start throwing out dollars no one else matches.

This is a dumb rule. The 25 limit was put in place to lessen the practice of running kids off. This rule encourages running kids off. Instead of making a rule to fix a previously bad rule, let’s just get to the heart of the issue and remove the 25 cap all together

Can't change it so going to have to embrace it. It helps us out because we can take more instant-impact players and bring our number of scholarship players up to what it needs to be. The good coaches embrace this as an opportunity, not a complaint. Barnes got Justin Powell in basketball after the inter-conference transfer rule was changed. Heupel got Hadden. It will work to our advantage if we use it right

Agree. Especially since kids can now get paid and there's nothing stopping half your team entering the portal in any given year.

Just have a 85 scholarship limit. If you need to sign 40 to get there, so be it.

I would rather sign 40 next year rather than this year. The staff will have had a lot more time to evaluate the players plus develop a much closer relationship with them. I think that results in better players signing next year compared to this year.

It means we can take seven of their transfers who are second string and play immediately for us. They get great players regardless.

Yes sir. That’s how you get to 8-4 seasons. Snatch those boys up as soon as they hit the portal.

Bama, OSU, OK, Oregon, UGA. All of them.

Then work your way into the top 5 recruiting. That’s what Heupel is gonna have to do since apparently he isn’t the best at it.

We don’t have the luxury of going mostly for HS and waiting. Getting an 8-4 record in the next couple of years would help change our trajectory.

Need 2-3 instant impact transfers on both the DL and OL.

Need another QB, can be transfer or another incoming freshmen, hell maybe we put the UCF guy on scholly and call it a day.

Wouldn't mind an instant impact TE transfer.

Need 1-2 edge guys that can play right away.

Need 1-2 LB's that can play right away.

I'm fine with no secondary transfers as long as we get Stewart, Jones, Caldwell, and Thomas.

The only instant impact player we will have coming in is Walter. (I'll have an update on him this week)

7 quarterbacks

Can we get 1 QB that can play, not a project to try and make into a QB.
And a legit WR that can catch or 2.
And a few O linemen
