Davis is an amazing player but the lovefest jimmy dykes has for him is annoying and sickening. Worse than Tebow and verne? Your thoughts?

I think Davis is one of the rare talents that only come along every once in a while. I wish we had him.

someone help that poor man. surely someone has told him he has a furry caterpillar crawling across his forehead.. what gives? maybe it gives him his powers to play so unbelievably well? o_O

I think your hatred for UK is making you think he will get owned in the NBA. He will be very good in the NBA, especially when he bulks up.

The Olsen twins says he needs to gain weight. And Mona Lisa says he needs to shave.

Yeah a little bit. He will be good but won't do what he is doing now.

NOT SO FAST. If his jumper was a little better he reminds me a lot of Kevin Durant when he was at Texas. If Davis bulks up, and locks in that long/mid range jumper.. he will be a special player even at the next level. Talents like this don't come along very often..

I have no problem with it at all. Remember for a month straight all we heard during our games was how Stokes should still be in high school, he hasn't hardly practiced yet, he has a size 20 shoe.

Best thing I've read on VN In awhile.

Thank you!

Yet if Dykes were talking this way about a player in orange and white you would be completely ok with it. Its called envy and you have a bad case of it. Davis is one of those types of players that dont come around that often and he is deserving of the credit he is getting right now.

Anybody remember thabeet from UCONN?

Davis is better offensively, but not a whole lot IMO. 3/4?of Davis points are off dunks. That won't happen in the NBA.

Very similar guys IMO. And thabeet is now D league iirc

Bad comparison imo.....the two are of a completely different level of talent.

I disagree 100%. Davis is a better athlete and can be a 40% shooter from the NBA line. His upside is ridiculous.

Davis can average 20. He just doesn't get that opportunity.

He has an okay post game, but a beautiful jumper for a big man.

I don't know if he's going to be Kevin Garnett, but that upside is there.

Davis is a ten times better player than Thabeet. He was a point guard before his growth spurt. He has skills Thabeet can only dream about.

He is going to get owned in the NBA. Dwight Howard will make him his witch. But substitute a B with the W.

I'm not sure if you've heard about this, but almost every 18 year-old athlete tends to bulk up as the years go by. Not everyone can be a freak of nature like Dwight.

I just don't see the offense outside of 10-12 feet IMO

If he develops that Garnett J then ok, but right now he's effective 8 feet and in, and he won't be in the NBA IMO.

For him to be good in the NBA. He has to develop a CONSISTENT 18 foot jumper IMO. Like a Garnett.
