Eyebrows and Jimmy Dykes

Davis can average 20. He just doesn't get that opportunity.

He has an okay post game, but a beautiful jumper for a big man.

I don't know if he's going to be Kevin Garnett, but that upside is there.

See I don't think he could. When you get him to shoot jumpers he's not nearly as effective. 75% atleast of his points are off dunks

I don't remember what gane it was I saw, but about 2 weeks ago, Mississippi state maybe...he was settling for J's and was ineffective on offense.

And I'm sorry but I don't see him bring the defensive game changer in the NBA he is in college. Maybe 1 or 2 blocks a game. If I'm wrong I'll gladly eat my words but JMO.

I just don't see the offense outside of 10-12 feet IMO

If he develops that Garnett J then ok, but right now he's effective 8 feet and in, and he won't be in the NBA IMO.

For him to be good in the NBA. He has to develop a CONSISTENT 18 foot jumper IMO. Like a Garnett.

That's because he has no need for it in the college game. Why would he be jacking up jumpers on a consistent basis when he gets to the rim all the tim? The kid played shooting guard for 5 years, he has the stroke. When he gets to the NBA and puts up 500 shots a day in practice, he will have a finely tuned jumper out to 15-18 feet, you can count on it.

He will not be an offensive juggernaut, but he will average 15-20 ppg on pick and roll jumpers and offensive rebounds. Look for a stat line of 18p/10b/4bl

In the NBA I see them forcing those jumpers though...

And he hasn't proved YET he can consistently hit those...

Like I said, if I'm wrong I'll gladly admit it.

It's jmo he won't be as good as many think. I said the same about Sean may and reggie bush, but I've been wrong about some as well. It's jmo.

I don't know what you are looking at here. He has a nice stroke from the college 3. That opens lanes. He doesn't miss them in his drills and practice.

Those are NBA 2nd team numbers. If he averaged that he would be the 2nd best player on the Lakers.

I mean, if he bulks up, he MIGHT be good. But as of right now, he will get man handled because of his size in the NBA. And his height will not nearly be as big of a factor because every player in the NBA has height (minus the aaron brooks, steve nash's, etc)

And skykar hits 90% in practice and supposedly jeronne knocks down 3's in practice...

Anthony Davis is 2-13 from 3 which is 15% on the season. The NBA is further back than college as well.

If he improves it as ive stated I'll gladly eat my words, but from what I've seen 15% from 3 in college doesn't show me much of a 3 game in the NBA or even long 2 range in the NBA.

Also, he's going to be a monster on D. He's Marcus Camby to a T defensively.

There are only 10 players in the entire NBA that average a double/double. You talk to any NBA GM or scout and they will take 18/10 in their starting line-up all day long. Everyone acts like they are predicting Davis to come into the league and set scoring records and be the next "insert name." Everyone wants to go to one extreme or the other instead of being rational. Davis will be a great player in the NBA in 2 or 3 seasons.

NOT SO FAST. If his jumper was a little better he reminds me a lot of Kevin Durant when he was at Texas. If Davis bulks up, and locks in that long/mid range jumper.. he will be a special player even at the next level. Talents like this don't come along very often..

Davis is an amazing player but the lovefest jimmy dykes has for him is annoying and sickening. Worse than Tebow and verne? Your thoughts?

he also had a lovefest for maymon and then stokes was dykes annoying when that was happening?

Davis will be fine in the NBA

If you don't think Davis is a NBA talent then you have no sense. This guy is the real deal and will eventually be a star with the big boys. Don't forget he's only 18 years old. I didn't get grown a$$ man strength til about 23. As you get older you get stronger. If his weight was such an issue Kevin Garnett and Kevin Durant would also suck. Pretty sure KG was about 210 coming in if he was that. But haters gonna hate.

Davis is a baller. I don't know why anyone would compare him to K.Durant, but they did compare him to Kevin Garnett and I think that is spot on.

I see a role player in the league, solid player but not the special talent like he is now. A lot of the bigs just don't translate into the NBA. No doubt he is a great college player
