Well this is back in the news again the law on ID/licenses went into effect. Serbia has reportedly put its armed forces on alert. Then today the Serbs in Kosovo have pulled out of all government services in Kosovo.

Reports coming in from the Kosovo/Serbian border that fighting has erupted and air raid sirens being reported. Rumors are flying but something we should we be watching.

No we shouldn’t, the Balkans are a constant powder keg dating back to the Austrian Empire. It’s Jerusalem in the form of multiple nations and territories

It was a powder keg before the Romans conquered the area.

It's at a conflux of several landmasses but also a little out of the way since the 1800s. So many cultures, ethnicities, and even races colliding there largely due to the Turks kicking out all their old neighbors that had resided in Turkey.

You sound like a damn Democrat from 2016. "Russia Russia Russia..."

How about going back to 1999 and the US/NATO bombing campaign.
I'm asking a damn question man. It's in the region, the timing is either really intentional or a huge coincidence. It's really not a huge stretch lead someone to ask that very legitimate question.

It's ok, I didn't hit on or beat up your mother man...... Simmer down.

Over the last few days Kosovo has deployed special police units into the Serb majority North Kosovo. Last night a police patrol was attacked with "long guns" injuring a police officer. Now Vucic is having meetings with his government with threats of deploying Serbian security forces into Northern Kosovo. I just wonder how much of this is being egged on by Russia to draw Western eyes away from Ukraine?

This has zero to do with some clever planning involving the Ukraine conflict. If anything, this is being agitated by NATO/US to try to spread Russia thin and try to put out fires in other areas. And anyways, the Serbs don't necessarily need the Russians to put a battery in their backs with regards to Kosovo. You act like the Serbs have forgotten what NATO did in 1999.

Even George Wallace would fear monger about the Soviet Union when he ran for president. Ever notice how the democrats constantly use tactics the Dixiecrats used back in the day. This is why you never hear any criticism about the old Dixiecrats from back in the day. They look up to them and use their tactics as a model and even allowed them to create legislation after the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Barricades and road blocks have come back and it was just announced that Serbia has requested NATO to allow them to deploy Serb army and police personnel to the north.

I guess the question now is what happens when Kosovo/NATO rejects the request? Does Belgrade go in anyways?

I’m more wondering how much teeth NATO will put into that no reply. They still have that large joint base right there so there’s already boots on the ground.
