Let the lawsuits begin!

Where is the win? I don't understand. What lawsuit is coming? What are the grounds? Pretty sure this statement is the end of it.

How is this any different than Trump pressuring/threatening media outlets he didn't like? "Someone oughtta look into them."

We got turd sanwiches running against douches. Why do you only care about one side of the government pressure on speech?

Substitute “Trump” for “Biden” and this story is national headlines for months, probably years. There’d be outrage that people need to go to prison for election interference. But we all know that it will quickly fade away.

Wrong, because apparently you don't even remember the pressure Trump applied on free speech.

If it was posted previously, I either missed it or forgot about it.

Which media platforms acquiesced and complied from Trump's pressure on free speech?

Not sure anybody has. I just remember news outlets saying **** Trump didn't like and him making vague threats like he would put alphabet agencies on them. You can say Biden admin was worse because we have some evidence of success here, but the actions are what I judge and we're eating two **** sandwiches and some are just calling one of them bad.

It is proper to hold both in contempt for intimidating free speech. It is also proper to hold more contempt for Biden admin and Zuckerberg / META for complying.

Personally, I don't find the two equivalent in this regard. But I also don't know if we can expect jounalism-level free speech standards from private social media companies. META, X, Reddit, et al aren't bastions of free speech.

IDK enough to make that judgment

What else would you need to know in addition to Zuck's admission?

...of course we have to assume the headlines and quotes attributed are accurate.

I put myself in Facebook's shoes and wonder what I would do if I were in their position and then I start to realize how little I actually know about any of it.

I think it is posted in Freak's PF guidelines we can't allow our ignorance to dampen our zeal to act like experts on all topics.

Facebook was vulnerable to losing their section 230 protection, so I don’t think they’d be in a good position to push back when the Dem’s 3 letters came a knocking. Zucker liked being a platform as well as editorializing/publishing favored content.

Suppressing the Hunter story could very well have flipped the 2016 election.

Didn't check the 3 letter morning news stations this morning, but it ran on Fox, and likely no where else considering the annointed Harris is part of that admin pressure on Meta.

In hindsight maybe he should have locked Hillary up. The country would be better off without her BS.
I don't like Trump's bombastic nature. But I understand why he defaults to it. His threats have served him well over the years. He's received positive reinforcement with that approach.

ABC morning show had a short blurb about it this morning, they didn't delve into it but mentioned it.
