And how are you going to prove if an injury is fake or not?

I think it's hysterical that Sankey comes out and issues this. You can't issue fines when what the teams are doing are not against the rules. How about solving the issues by putting a rule in place that helps alleviate the problem first. And then if it continues, fine em.

I just posted the link, I don't make the rules, and I’m not a doctor.
One thing for sure, if we see an injured player, come back on the field, miraculously recovered after one play, it will be questioned.
At least a first step is taken on this funky foolishness.

The issue got worse after the Sankey mandate. What a joke.
It is not the way to solve the problem but nobody wants to address removing the “injured” player from the series at a minimum.
This eliminates the issue as soon as this rule is adopted.

I’m not sure.. a lot of kentuckys injuries sure was after Tn hit a big play and was getting momentum. A couple of those Kentucky players should look into the WWE
I believe #11 went down once and looked like he needed a stretcher when he was helped off. He was back in two plays later and looked fine.

I was very pleased when he actually cared enough about the game to act like he was injured. I respect that he really wanted it to seem legit.

Sometimes the lack of effort given when flopping is more offensive than stealing a timeout.

There can never be a rule because you're asking refs to decide if a player is really injured or not and player safety will be questioned. This is only something that can be reviewed after the fact and fines issued. No rule is possible.

A rule that requires injured players to sit the rest of that possession will absolutely stop it. And in this era of feelings it can be passed for "safety concerns" for the "injured" player.

Yes. I’ve liked the suggestion that an injured player has to sit the rest of the series. If someone is hurt enough to force a play stoppage and be helped off the field they should sit for a few minutes for their safety

I saw no fake injuries yesterday. The training staff came out for all Kensucky injury timeouts and had to help walk all players off. No fake injuries.

The SEC and Sankey sure can assess fines for things that aren’t against the rules. It’s not against the rules for fans to rush the field but SEC issues fines for it. Not saying they will assess anyone for faking injury but the SEC has the authority to do it.

Make ALL injured players sit out for a designated time. This may not solve it entirely but it sure would cut down on some it. Allows team trainers more time to evaluate players on the sidelines which puts the players safety first, and also makes coaches think longer and harder about faking injures.

You will also start seeing guys that get nicked up, that aren't hurt really bad, but need to come off, get off the field quicker because they don't want to sit out for the next series or 2.
