Nobody is forcing you to watch it. And on top of that, she already said it was a big part of the backstory, so nothing is being "shoved in your face" anymore than any other love story is.
I have read and watched everything Potter. If it is done in a way that is not just in your face, then I don't have a problem with it. Gays are in the world and they are not bad people because of it. There are great heroes who happen to be gay, not because they are gay.

My guess is it will be obvious but not overly pushed like it's a big deal.

Saw it tonight. It really wasn't what I thought it would be. 7/10

*Spoilers*

Have you read the books, or only seen the previous movies? If the later, I could definitely see the disconnect, but the whole Creedence Barebone/Grindelwald/Obscurus thing explained a lot from the Deathly Hallows book for me. The first thing I thought of when Obscurials were explained at the end was poor Ariana. It all makes sense now 😮

I was a little disappointed with the movie, but I loved Kowalski.

And why? ****ing why does it have to be Johnny Depp? Call up the least creative/original mind in Hollywood and ask him who they should cast and he/she would say "Johnny Depp" in a heart beat.

I would've preferred an actual German/Belgian/Austrian actor to play him, since he's meant to represent the magical version of Hitler during this time. Someone like Christophe Waltz has shown he can play an excellent Nazi, but I'm sure he'd rather not get typecast as one. I don't like Americans doing European accents lol

My friends and I have been discussing who would make a good 40-50 year old Dumbledore in the upcoming films. Jude Law would be my pick.

Jared Harris.

Not only does he fit the bill as an actor the fact he's the son of Richard Harris, the original Dumbledore, is a nice touch.

I have avoided this thread since the films release.

I finally saw it today and I would give it a 4.5/5.

My girlfriend loved it. I really found the main character annoying for some reason.

You are better than that Jude. At least he may make the sequel better the first one was the pits.

What part did you not understand? That Jude Law can do better or that the original was not good?

This is a large role. I don't know how much better JL can do than landing a huge role in a series this big.

And the first one was great. Critics and audiences both loved it.

I don't know how much better you can get than the first one. It's been universally praised and it grossed over $800 Million worldwide.

It also starred Eddie Redmayne who was coming off an Oscar win and back to back Best Actor nominations.
