Except that isn’t true. UT started using the T in the 60s. A different and skinnier T than the power T we now wear. Before that we had numbers, just like Bama. And before that nothing. Before that, an orange leather helmet with a side stripe. So, at some point the tradition of old was changed and a New one started.Alabama’s tradition is their logo has never been on their helmets. Only the number. The Power T is Tennessee. Has been the only item on the helmet.
