That Cobra Daytona is the car I have the most lust for. Only six were made, and I had the opportunity to buy one in the late '70s for $100,000. If I only had the money at that time. It would easily bring over a $million today.

I was at the first NHRA Springntionals at Bristol where they debuted the Hemi under glass. It was not intended to be a wheel stander, but an exhibition car they hoped would beat the FX cars. After a couple days of trying to keep the front end down, they gave up and refocused on making it as driveable as possible on the rear wheels, and it was the hit of the event.

Coincidentally, about six years later after moving to Mansfield, OH I was racing Moto-Cross and met Bob Riggle who bought the car and ran it as well as raced MX. It appears this pic is when he was the driver.

I drive a Mazdaspeed 3. Not that generation though. But when I saw them racing them in the Continental Tires Touring Series, it became a favorite.

Gotta love the R33 GT-R Le Mans car. It added a great square shape to the already fantastic looking road car. Also WIDEBODY!
