Player or RB? I'd agree that he is the best RB in the country. Not so much about best player in the counrty.

Mcknight is a fraud? Haha dude he has the potential to be the best back in the nation. If he was at another school he'd be the feature back easy.

Spiller also didnt start. Find another guy who has close to 3,000 career yards, 25 TDs and makes amazing special teams plays without even being a senior or ever starting.

yeah that's why pete doesn't even let him return punts anymore and never hands him the ball in the 4th quarter. because of his great "potential." johnson is 10X the back mcknight is. Neither of them would start over best. and SC had no problems making bush and white the featured backs back in 2003 and 2004. why? because they were really f-en good. if johnson or mcknight were that good they wouldn't be sharing snaps with 4 other guys.

Find me an elite back who doesn't start? let alone one who doesn't start over a 6th round draft pick.

Droski are you telling me that if Best was at USC he would be the number 1 back?

of course he would be. he'd be the #1 back at every school in th country. vereen (best's backup) woudl get plenty of carries at SC. both were highly recruited by SC btw. carroll went to 3 of best's HS games.

this theory that SC has 4 guys who would be starting at every other university is absurd and trojan propaganda. tell me what your eyes see. last year they had an elite qb, elite receivers, one of the best defenses in college football history, an elite offensive line filled with 5 star recruits, yet how many 100 yard games by their RBs? one? two? why did they rely on sanchez so much if their rbs and defense were that good? THe running game was the biggest problem on the team. Particurally since mcknight fumbled almost every game.

RUSHING CAR YDS AVG TD
S. Johnson 138 705 5.1 9
J. McKnight 89 659 7.4 2

Cal had a banged up crappy offensive line and a lousy qb.

RUSHING CAR YDS AVG TD
J. Best 194 1580 8.1 15 (these stats despite the fact he was injured the entire season)
S. Vereen 142 715 5.0 4

So Best had 13 carries for 37 yards against USC last year and he's so much better.

BTW, Gable had 81 yards with just 10 carries. S. Johnson had 62 yards with 14 yards. And your boy Joe had 51 yards off of just 7 carries. And 23 yards in the 4th quarter compared to Best's 1 yard. And both only had 2 carries in the fourth quarter. And Vereen is no where near the backs at USC. I'm no Trojan fan but get serious dude.

McGuffie is actually a legit player from what I've seen, but his running style makes him a concussion magnet. Dude had at least 3 or 4 that I know of last year.

I have no idea, I only only posted that because you seem to not favor white guys.

What have I said about QBs, OL, DL, LBs, and TEs? McGuffie is okay but he is nowhere near as good as his test times. He's great out of pads but he's average on the field.

Best was severly injured against SC, we had zero passing game and they loaded up against the run, and SC had by far the best defense in the country. i very much doubt mcknight would have done crap against SCs defense that day under the same circumstances. If you look at common opponents best has FAR better stats than mcknight or johnson. edit: and we didn't run him in the 4th quarter since we were behind. And how many cal games have you watched so you know vereen sucks? any? Vereen runs a 10.5 100 and was a big time recruit.

Really? How far apart were those concussions? I wouldn't think he'd be medically cleared to play.
