Come to think of it . . . I'm in kind of the same boat. I've seen us play everybody except Kentucky. I've seen UK play SC live, but never went to the TN/UK game.
I’ve never seen us play Vandy or UK, also I’ve never seen us play Mizzou or aTm live.

Was there in 2007 to get to Atlanta with the win and ruin the hopes of all Georgia fans. Huge season for Tennessee fans that deal with UGA fans on a daily basis.

During the Manning years UK was at Neyland. I was sitting in front of a UK fan that pulled out a harmonica right before kickoff and played My Sweet Kentucky Home. It was so beautiful even UT fans clapped.

Late in the 3rd quarter (we're killing them at this point) he gets up and plays Rocky Top, pulls off his white UK cap and waves it like a white flag. He got a huge laugh and round of applause.

2007, I was a just a kid at the time. It was the day before my birthday. It was a "win and go to Atlanta" scenario. That week, it felt like the win was already ours. At that time, the last time Kentucky had beaten us, I wasn't even born. I just grew up always knowing that we beat Kentucky every year (thanks Dooley).

Game got started and we looked pretty good, got out to a lead and seemed like it would go as expected. We as a family started setting up our Christmas tree at halftime. We were feeling good and it looked like we would coast into Atlanta with no issues.

Once the 2nd half rolled around, Kentucky found its mojo and eventually tied the game up to take it to OT. It was a weird feeling as a kid to have that excitement of setting up the Christmas tree w/ my birthday party the next day, but watching the Vols blow a lead & possibly get knocked out of Atlanta. But as fate would have it that day, we pulled out a victory after 4 overtimes to seal our ticket to Atlanta. I'll forever remember that day.

When Gene Etter score the winning TD against a really good Kentucky football in I believe 1960. There was about 6 inches of snow on the field and Tennessee.s football was not very good. Etter came to Tennessee on a baseball scholarship but Tennessee,s football was void of a lot of talent. He switched to football and was able to beat a team coached , I think, by the Bear. One of the biggest upsets in that era. I was a student then and could not believe we won that game.
Pretty sure Bryant left KY after the 57 season.

Follow up to '17 ( my PL was a UK grad), I took him to Knoxville in '18 when they were ranked and we WRECKED them.

Whatcha got?

2018 - Pruitt's first year. They were pretty highly ranked (no.10 or something) when we played them and we were really bad. I watched the game at a sports bar and bunch of KY fans started to talk crap to me and we somehow made a bet - whoever loses pays the tab. I remember we dominated them (Guarantano threw a hail mary). Needless to say I drank/ate a lot that day and felt great. Moral of story is even in our down down dark days we still OWN them. Kinda like what Florida does to us :(

The coldest I have ever been in my life was in Neyland against Kentucky. I'm not sure what year it was but Casey Clausen was the QB and I thought I was gonna die of hypothermia. We went ahead by a large margin so I left before my toes broke off.

Great story (BTW it’s My OLD Kentucky Home).

Mine was when we lost to a WR playing QB because it was the coffin nail for Dooley.

If it would have been up to me, he would have got left in Lexington that day.

I believe it was 2000… first game I went to in Neyland. Lorenzen vs Casey clausen. We were sitting pretty close and I remember seeing John Henderson and thinking, that’s the biggest human ever. Then at some point in the game Lorenzen shook Henderson off and I thought Lorenzen was going to be the best football player ever hahaha.

It’s a shame JL couldn’t keep his weight under control.

The Good: Nov. 23, 1985 Tennessee humiliates Kentucky 42-0 in Lexington, beginning a winning streak that would last a quarter of a century.

The Bad: Oct. 21, 1893 In their first meeting on the gridiron, Kentucky wallops Tennessee 56-0 in Knoxville.

The Ugly: Nov. 26, 2011 The nadir for Tennessee. With a simplified playbook and a wide receiver who played QB in high school behind center, Kentucky defeated a Dooley led Tennessee team, 10-7. Dooley’s days are numbered.
