Good, so you agree that having law that is more open to states choosing how to handle it rather than being all forced one way is actually less draconian than all states being forced into a single way of thinking. You said it yourself with “allowing states to…”. I’m pretty sure that would be less draconian, you just don’t like it.

By all accounts the issue is that Trump took documents from the WH he was not supposed to take. Boxes of them. And then he has KNOWINGLY and INTENTIONALLY refused to return them despite many lawful requests that he do so.

There is something in them that he does not want known. Something so embarrassing to him that he would KNOWINGLY and INTENTIONALLY continue to violate clear federal law.

What is in those documents????? Must be something devastating to him. We all need to know what it is.

I dont care what happens to Trumo, but anyone else remember when @lawgator was upset about agents of the government, in Florida, doing their job for arguably political reasons?

It’s amazing to watch people defend the 3 letter gangs when it comes to individual freedoms or liberties . They all are weaponized and can ruin your life anytime they knock on your door . The only ones able to prevent it , in any capacity have law firms on call 24/7 in their phone contacts .

We've got the DNC funding false, literally a work of fiction, to investigate Trump. The dossier was used to obtain warrants. Nothing was done. The FBI was handed a laptop with damning information that implicated not only the president's son but also the president himself. Not only was it not investigated, it was dismissed as a Russian fabrication. Now we see the FBI raid a former president's private residence on the guise of recovering some documents that weren't returned? This democratic controlled government is nothing different than a government of some third world country in Africa or South America.

Hmmm…now apply this to Trump. On one hand he’s so devious and smart that he collided with Russia to commit all these crimes Dems have accused him of starting back in 2016 with nothing sticking to this date and on the other hand he’s so dumb that he tries to flush secret documents and leaves part of them in the toilet for someone to take pics. And we could do this all day with other Trump scenarios as Dems ping pong back and forth from evil genius to bumbling buffoon. Why don’t you call things both ways?

Yup. Yall are literally just making things worse. I have said from the start, you want to get rid of Trump, make him politically irrelevant? Ignore him. He feeds off his press. This just solidifies his followers and probably pushes a few million more to his side. Doesnt matter if the warrant is right, wrong, or indifferent. This is a major division which will be long in the healing.

I expect even more politicized rhetoric and extremist behavior from both sides on this.

The only saving grace is if this warrant finds evidence to a legit major crime, anything less and it comes off as political hackery.

Agreed. But, the flip side is if Trump did commit crimes, he should be prosecuted like any other American. I say that of anyone regardless of political affiliation.

Noone is... ehhh... should be above the law.
