FWIW, I don't like the optics of this action, but if there is anything there then president or no you should not be above the law. Before you ask... I am all in favor of prosecuting any Biden who has committed a crime.

The accusations have always been that Trump destroyed documents. Does anyone really think he took them home and preserved them in a safe? That would be a fail for the ages.

Honestly, I don't see the gop doing this. The dims are only a couple of seats from being full totalitarian. lg and evil would have no problem with this. The dims are Godless, when you're Godless you believe you're the god so these witch hunts are justified to the dims mindset.

This raid was just a matter of time, they'll set a precedent to do this with any Pol they don't like. They'll accuse them of some seditious act and will raid them before some election. This is what communist gov do. We saw it with hussein's DOJ and now with kamala's

What if this was a setup? What if Trump enticed them to make this raid to fire up the base red-hot and keep DeSantis on the back burner?

It wouldn't be hard to do because Democrats are pretty much like an injured, enraged bull seeing a man wave a red blanket in front of them. They charge all the time and just cannot catch the matador, who keeps sticking swords in them.

Don't know. This was absolutely handled badly and, I think, destroyed whatever credibility the FBI had with half the country. An even bigger mess is if Trump has documents that are technically covered by the law but amount to birthday invitations sent out from the White House. Then the government has the unenviable task of making a political prosecution over what amounts to lying about having sex with an intern.

And what if there are serious documents found? Things no one in government really want disclosed? Trump having his day in court may be the least desirable thing the government wants. What if there are things about, say, Hillary Clinton?

I think we're going to have a tempest in a teapot here, much like the ballyhooed prosecution of Trump in New York over his tax returns and financial disclosures that pretty much fell flat on its face and slinked off to disappear. It will not go anywhere and hardens Trump's base, which for him, is a win.

The fbi doesn't need credibility, they are beyond that and they don't care. It's obvious the fbi has been weaponized. Not one investigation on Hunter, yet the fbi has raided many gop pols and associates. Just change the name to kjb

What I'm saying is the fbi in general no longer serves America, only the dim party. They don't care if people they're credible or not. They will never change, but only will get worse.

I have said it before. The fact that the aforementioned hate him means he was good for the country whether you like him or not. You can even hate him but he was still good for you. Just look at the scum that continue to attack him.

If you support what the establishment does then you need to evaluate what you support. The intention was never to have a government this large. It was never intended to be able to limit us like they do. Take a second and think how much better everything would be with the federal government’s hands not in everything.

Oh yes, the FBI does execute search warrants when no one is home and they do it all the time. Usually they do so to install cameras and microphones inside a residence. Also, when they leave they have to leave a copy of the inventory of items taken that they provide to the court.

I will say this though. I hope they actually had probable cause and were successful in their search. If they didn’t and this was carried out like the FISA warrants were then we have become nothing more than a totalitarian state with a politically weaponized DOJ that is much too similar to Stalin’s.

I have a hard time believing the FBI would do this over birthday invitations. They must have good reason to think it's important stuff.

Perhaps linking Trump, or someone he is beholden to, to some kind of crime? Intelligence reports that confirm Russian meddling?
