Federal Indictment of Donald Trump

If I had to guess ( and I do , just like everyone else ) I’d guess that he was being Trump and doing what he always does with the establishment , thumbing his nose at them . Up until this point there’s never been a reason to think that anyone with any brain cells would raid an ex presidents home over what I’m assuming will end up being nothing but “ classified papers “ . There’s no way for Trump to get in any real trouble over it , the FBI will lose all credibility over it , the right will flog Biden over it , it will cause more voters to turn out on the right , and a very bad precedent was set . That’s my honest guess .
Your guess would be a best case scenario for both Trump and Republicans, but it doesn't serve as a plausible explanation for why Donald Trump was willing to hand over certain documents which had been subpoenaed, but kept others in his possession. I don't buy the rationale that he was just "thumbing his nose at them." I think this involves the contents of those documents that had been withheld, and Trump not wanting those contents in the hands of either The National Archives or the DOJ.

Why the **** should they negotiate with him? They gave him ample opportunity. Would we be extended the same amount of time? Hell no.

You can’t be this ate up , all ex presidents negotiate what they can keep as theirs to go into their library’s . Slowly back away from the orange man bad stigma , and look at him as just an ex president .

I posed this question a day or two ago. Is Trump above the law or not? The general view from your side has to be that he is, at least to some extent. Here, we now know that the DOJ tried to get the records back by asking nicely. Despite this, Trump didn't comply. Faced with that, what do you do? If you say nothing, that can only be because you believe he's not subject to these laws (or perhaps that he is subject to these laws, but the Biden administration's DOJ cannot properly enforce them, which is still a form of immunity).
Trump isn't above the law, his supporters just refuse to believe he has done anything wrong. They will ALWAYS have an excuse ready for him. First its "well, nothing will come of this" then if something does come from it its because the government is trying to take him out, not because he did something wrong. Or committ a federal crime. He is their golden (orange) God. He walks on water. Just look at the poor guy that died today because he fell into the Trump trap. He thought he was being a patriot. He was actually just delusional and basically committed suicide by cop. It is truly sad what the media has done to some people's minds. Yet Trump supports dont view THAT media as the problem, they actually believe the rational media is the problem. "You only believe what the MSM tells you, I know better. Only I and this relatively small base know what's happening and we have to act." These people are actually insane, and present the biggest threat to this great country and democracy since WW2. It is literally a cult.

@volgr

The above post (which includes actual sources of information in support of my argument), runs counter to your narrative.

It is not well-known that mail-in voting had the "greatest opportunity for fraud," prior to 2020.

Please post a link to the findings of your "blue ribbon commission," and any other sources which support your claims... keeping in mind that none of the sources which I used were news media outlets, or politically partisan blogs. I'm the only one who ever posts links during discussions of election fraud. The rest of you just flap your gums.

You said "uh oh lol" like it has merit. Melania doesn't give a butt about papers or democrats. It's as silly as this being a means to stop him from running. I'm just teasing you. Nothing aggressive.
Well the LOL was more because it’s hilarious but I highly doubt the claim it’s Melania is true, and to a lesser extent Kushner. I do think there is a mole (there almost has to be for the FBI to know what and where everything was).

There it is folks. Take it from the drug addict with zero credibility. My god what a clown.

It’s all we have right now . We are all guessing . I’m guessing he’s just not that stupid as to have super secret squirrel sh!t laying around with multiple people knowing about it . Others are guessing that he’s just that dumb . They ( trump and associates) agreed , from my understanding to put a lock on their on safe don’t you think if there was anything of real importance in there , it wouldn’t be by the time that lock went on ?

So you are of the view that Trump is above the law. Namely, as long as his criming doesn't outweigh the political consequences of law enforcement pursuing him for that criming, he can continue to crime in ways that you and I cannot.

Oh, you mean like Hills and Hunter?

You got him and then this time . Lol

Goalposts moving. Bring it back to the point at issue: is Trump above the law or not?

Your attempt at deflection is a tacit admission, basically an argument that since A and B are above the law (on your theory) Trump is too.

Gonna be some big time "what about" energy from the GOP for the next month.

Wow. Surely Blackburn has some sources on these “violent” protestors at the Justices house. Surely she’s not conflating someone committing a crime and someone using their constitutional rights. Surely not!
