I'm sure it's already posted but just saw the comments from Michael Brown's parents on CBS This Morning.


Both Brown Sr. and McSpadden were present at the protests, but do not take responsibility for the violence that has occurred.

"We continue to ask for calm and we continue to get out there and protest in a peaceful manner," McSpadden said. "Anything that happened we when weren't there, we can't be held accountable, we can't be held for anybody's actions if they were not our actions."

Claim to advocate protesting peacefully and claim no responsibility for the damage protesters have caused. Yet, they're the ones screaming to burn the place down and are now lying about it. What a scumbag family.

I guess they're taking the Charles Manson approach. "If we weren't there and they're not our actions, we can't be held responsible. Even if we told them to do it and people did it on our behalf. We're not guilty of anything".

Yes and no.

They obviously are not on the peace train 100%. However, they are not responsible for other people's actions. If you loot and burn down a business, you alone are responsible for your actions.

It has also shifted from justice to vengeance in many minds. Some are confusing justice with what they wanted to happen.

Saw the video. While it has no audio, there is no way the cops gave him a warning to drop the gun. Not saying it proves that the shooting was unjustified, but it makes the cops' stories seem very suspect.

Police spokesman just said passenger side door was open when they were approaching the kid. Said he gave him 3 commands to get down. The kid reached for the gun.

Unless the video has been highly edited or the cops were yelling from quite a distance before they enter the frame, there is no way he had a chance to comply with a command.
