Ferguson Riots

Not sure if this has been posted here. Everyone with a strong opinion about the case should read this comparison of testimony. It's really good.

Comparing Ferguson grand jury testimonies - Washington Post

It shows exactly how unreliable the friends testimony was.

The friend says Brown threw no punches. And that Wilson started the altercation from inside his car.

DNA was found inside the car and Wilson had bruising on his face.

If he wasn't reaching into the car, his DNA wouldn't have been there.

If he hadn't threw punches, Wilson's face wouldn't have been bruised and swollen.

All eye witness testimony is pretty unreliable.

Or in this case, outright lies.

In every case inaccurate testimony will appear to be full of lies. You'd be surprised how wrong people are when they think they are telling the truth.

I wouldn't be surprised if he purposefully lied. It's likely. But I guarantee you Wilson's testimony contains errors that sound like outright lies to the people who think he was in the wrong.

I think consistency is the key in this case though. Johnson had his story change several times. That tends to impeach a witness very easily.

St. Louis Rams give pregame salute to Ferguson, Missouri - ESPN

One has to wonder how much longer the cops can keep going under these circumstances? They've been on the protests lines for 113 days and have been on 12 hour details since last Sunday.

Most of us would agree w/Rudy Giuliani that said "black communities must do more to end violence & mistrust". "If you want to solve the problems you've got to work on both sides".

Rudy also said that the Officer Wilson case wasn't even strong enough to reach a grand jury and that the US attorney general will have difficulty in making a federal civil rights case.

You can't support a violent robber and violent assaulter and expect pity for what happened to him. You can't help those who don't want to help themselves.

:hi: I agree with you tc. But the black communities have to be doing a better job w/bringing up baby. They have to teach respect for the LEO & police. Some responsibility lies with police departments to have more diversity in hiring & to better training of police officers.

So if someone disagrees with your stance they need to keep quiet?
I thoroughly remember someone praising Nugent for his remarks.
Just saying...

I didn't praise Nugent...might want to check the fact I posted it just to raise the ire of certain individuals on here and didn't comment either way.

But more to the point that the decision was made, the jury has spoken (forgive the term) and they should be setting the example by telling people the system did what it was supposed to do. The investigation was concluded, no charges could be filed and things like this do little more than aggravate the situation more than it already is.

Said players could and likely should be using their position to promote peace, tolerance and directing their focus towards getting comprehensive review in other ways like voting. Instead they have attached their cause to a thief that assaulted a cop.

Which speaks worlds about their credibility in future cases.

I'll take your word for it.
