Ferguson Riots

I will let you make up whatever scenerio you want here. Just include your answer after you make up your crowd density.

If no one is standing within 12-18 inches of him, and he's near the back of the crowd or the crowd does not have multiple layers,

Then it's very likely that a missed shot could strike a cop standing behind the intended target.

Standards aren't exactly what we would call marksman levels...

You are probably the most avid shooter that I know. You are trained by the military. 1000's of rounds in a handgun is probably guaranteed.

I just can't fathom two cops being shot with a .40 at 120 yards and one actually hit in the head at this range. It's inconcievable to me.

We always have some bad asses running around here. Whether it's the seals or the DOE guys. I don't think they could make those shots.

A .40 with at best a 4" barrel? Nah.

Something is off with this story.

Unless they weren't the intended targets.

You would need to hold over quite a bit. The average .40 cal round would drop at least a foot from that distance.

I'm actually pretty much a rookie compared to some folks. But military training isn't exactly a feather in one's cap. I shot the same amount I got for yearly qualification in about a month through my personal firearms.

Anyway, other than the significant drop, it's the odds of hitting two random targets at that range are galactinomical (I like that word) when supposedly unaimed. Bullets are small and you are talking significant drop as well as an entirely random chance of hitting something.

As it pains me to say, I'd bet LG is right (I'm agreeing with him on something firearms related which is kind of uncomfortable) and the shooter was closer than reported.

It was a 3 cheese pizza pi. Cut into 14 slices. Cooked for 28 minutes. Everything from start to finish was about 57 minutes for the 14 slices that was cooked for the 28 minutes.

As bad as I hate to admit it, I agree with LG as well.

Now I have to shower. I feel dirty.

Has anyone stepped forward with some info on this shooter with any clear explanation about his shooting skills or lack there of?

Was this guy prior military or SWAT with marksman skills or what?

No. have you seen the guy? If he was prior military he got marksmen in stapling papers being a quartermaster or expert marksman in dropping potatoes on plates in the chow line...
