Fiesta Bowl Game Thread: #2 Ohio St (13-0) vs #3 Clemson (13-0) (ESPN 8PM EST)

True. Tired of Clemson as much as Bama.
Want to see burrow play his former team mostly though why I’m pulling for O st

I don't like Clemson because I think Dabo negative recruited against Tennessee when Tee Higgins and the QB that has since transferred from Clemson decomitted from Tennessee. I know all is fair in recruiting.

They also play one of the weakest schedules every season and cake walks into the playoffs.

yep....yet, Trevor Lawrence still wears #16 in allegiance to Peyton Manning SMH...

Then the next round we’d get what we’re seeing today.

If expansion is inevitable, expand to six so the top two teams are rewarded with a bye.

Isn't the very purpose of a playoff to determine who the best team over the long haul is? Why then would you not want to include a reasonable number of "eligibles", and let them sort it out on the field? Yes, there are going to be blowouts, but there will also be the occasional upset, and a majority of competitive games.

If anything, tonight shows what happens when you let a committee set a small field. An 8-team bracket using the old BCS formula might not have given us a different champion, but it would have given four more teams the opportunity to upset them.

Football is played on the field. Settle it on the field, not in a boardroom.

bowl games were blowouts too - it's what you get. I'd still rather see a playoff (8 teams) than any other thing that's been tried
