ND can't win without Achonwa. Stewart and Dolson will whip them in the paint.

Wow, already more passes by either team in the half court than TN has the entire game.

The changing of the guard is complete. Everyone is now chasing UCONN.

It changed a long time ago. A lot of people didn't and still refuse to acknowledge it. The only thing stopping UConn is Geno retiring and the AAC. The impact of the AAC is still probably 5-10 years away though--or longer. By then the UCLA-wooden comparisons will begin

The thing I see missing from the Lady Vols that UCONN and Notre Dame have is 3 point shooting and playing as a team. Until the Lady Vols decide to play this way and recruit some shooters. 8 will be the title count for a long time.

a couple of great 3 point shooters would open so much for the Lady Vols, that and cut the turn overs down by at least half and number 9 will come sooner than you think

This **** is really getting old. Armchair, if by suffering her last two seasons with early symptoms of her disease after winning back to back NC's two years earlier means the game passed her by, then I don't know what to say about that. Geno will never scratch the surface of everything Pat accomplished in her lifetime. Without Pat, there would be no Geno. The only difference I see between UCONN and the other teams is their good shooting ability. Nothing else they do is any different. But, they do shoot very good consistently. There's your winning edge.

don't forget to add except for Candace Parker too :hi:

I'm reading these posts and let me say. You can't compare Pat and Geno. IMO two different eras of coaching. Pat did what she did and Geno is doing what he's doing. Both have made a terrific contribution to WBB. Lets stop belittling what each have done. They both have done some pretty great things. Records were made to be broken and someday somebody will break Geno's records. Just like Pat broke Jodys and some other. You cant argue that both took WBB to another level. We need to respect that as true fans of WCBB.

GM - Statistically the team's 3 point shooting was not that bad. The real problem was that nobody was shooting them. The team 3 pt attempts was pretty lame.

IMO UT's money was in the paint but if there is no outside shooting the opponent just packs it in down low.

The team ranked 29th in made 3 pt shots (not bad) but a dismal 232nd (awful) in attempts.
