I just don't understand the algorithm involved to this day...

Comparison:

Clemson- 3 (5*) 8 (4*) 2594 pts
Tennessee- 3 (5*) 13 (4*) 2559 pts...

How does this make sense?

Team rankings are not based on stars.

DE Kyle Phillips made the biggest move into 5 star status moving up 114 spots to No. 32

Am I the only one who thinks Tuttle is better than #66? I feel like he's top 50.

Mike Farrell posted on VolQuest that Kendall Bussey dropped to the #101- #110 range and Preston Williams dropped to the #150 range. He cited serious injuries & the fact they didn't participate in All-Star games as the reason for the drops in rankings.

Not a huge deal, IMO. Bussey ended up only dropping around 10 spots & even though Williams' dropped pretty far all UT fans know he is elite & will be a stud. Kyle Phillips getting bumped to a 5* & the upcoming bump to 4* for Ford will all but negate the drops by Bussey & Williams. I also expect Kirkland Jr. to move up several spots.

Farrell can go fly a kite. They knew of his injury when they ranked him in December. Him not participating in an All Star game should do nothing to impact his ranking. It's not like they expected him to play anyways. Just dumb.

They ultimately dropped Josh Sweat from #1 to #34

Edit: I am now officially a VN 5 Star :yess:

I don't understand what the hell they are doing. Even if they somehow land Cowart, Ivey and Jefferson, they still have a ton of holes in this class.

Mac had two visits weeks before the dead period.

Staff handed out 22 new offers since Mac was hired.

Should see 3-5 commit in the next week.

The big names have stated since midseason they would wait until NSD.

I blame Muschamp. SOB killed what on paper was a easy top 3 class for UF. Patrick, Ivey, Campbell, CeCe and Cowart we all leans heading into summer.

Pretty amazing what Mizzou has been able to accomplish the past couple of years without great recruiting classes.

You guys should be OK with one down recruiting year..if I were the coaches I would just go with what you have and not reach and sign a bigger class next year

Yeah. I might take two classes off, and just put a lot of effort into the 2017 class. :)
