Final Season Record Guess 7-5

Missouri on the road worries me as much as Georgia at home. Kentucky could have 2 open dates and were still gonna whip them. UConn and Vandy should be wins. I think we are at minimum spliting Missouri-Georgia and we win the rest. And yes we do have a chance to win out if we can get redzone issues fixed. I think either 9-3 or 10-2. GBO!!!!!

This team is not winning a road game. 7-5 and a bowl loss would have Heupel on the hot seat for next season.
Probably not.. I mean we have to hope Nico is really good. Apparently he isn't good enough to replace a very average to below average QB. I hate that we'll have to watch him grow up in live games because he's not going to get much garbage time playing behind Milton..

I wouldn’t completely write off 9-3. I believe that Mizzou is fools gold.

People have been saying this for weeks. It’s dumb, IMO. Mizzou is a good football team. They aren’t fool’s gold. People just want them to be. That might actually me a tougher game than Georgia based on how awful we are on the road.

No it wouldn't...UT fires him then I'm done...He's done more for UT football the past 3 years than the other bozos combined...At least he is winning...sorry its not up to your standards but he is...I refuse to deal with another coaching search.

If so, then count as a loss. Tennessee will beat Ky and Vandy with their hands tied behind their back. Both are awful.

Yeah. I mean I can already hear the he hasn't played enough ball excuses.. It's frustrating being a Vol fan sometimes..Should be a lesson to any team out there that let's it slip for 15 years. Hard to get up off the mat when you've been down that long. New teams took over the conference and we seem to be stuck in the middle of the conference anymore..

I think if you went to Nico right now and asked if him if he was ready to play, he’d undoubtedly say yes.

The issue is more complex than that. You can’t really throw him in against Bama or when your QB is still (moderately) productive. Plus, Heupel seems to have a love affair with Milton, so it seems no matter how he plays, he’s going to ride with with him regardless.

Vols are very good but so are most all SEC teams.

Kentucky away- 50/50 tossup but they win at home-Loss
Conn-Win
Missou- they will out score Tn at their home-Loss
Ga-Loss
Vandy-60/40-Tn wins at home-Win
I am pretty much in agreement with most of your post, hawk, and I expressed such on another thread last night. My primary difference with you is in the Vandy game where I would give the Vols more of a 90/10 chance if they haven't given up at that point. The second half of the Bama game revealed a glaring coaching discrepancy as Bama made both offensive and defensive adjustments that totally neutralized the Vols. I genuinely felt that having to settle for those 2 field goals in the first half spelled trouble as I have seen that movie too many times before. The late penalties, another questionable 4th down conversion attempt, and another scoop and score essentially doomed any attempt to leave Ttown with an upset. As for Mizzou, I believe they are the real deal, and that could be the worst beat down of the year. Ky will be a real rock fight which I believe will be settled late in the 4th quarter. My prediction is 8-4 and a respectable bowl game. Presently, the passing game doesn't pose near the threat that it did last year, and just 3 offensive tds in the last 2 games doesn't provide much of a confidence booster going forward. Ga could be close for awhile, but if the Vols can't generate some more points, I don't give them much of a chance in a slugfest with all of those future NFL picks. Unfortunately, the flip side of last year's success is that it left all of us wanting, and expecting, more. I'm just glad I didn't delete last year's game from my DVR! Go Vols!

It would be nice. Beating Georgia ain’t happening. Alabama might with the same refs they had tonight.
Fair enough, but your response made it seem like the rest of the season is a waste of time because we didn’t beat Bama at Bama in the middle of a rebuild/bridge year.

Serious question, is there anything Joe did or didn’t do tonight that would make him lose his job? 2nd half sucked, but I think we were more out talented than out coached.

Preseason o/u was 7.5. I still love our chances at the over.

We’re kicking Kentucky’s arse.

Mizzou is the fulcrum.
