Find a way

Haha. I don't know. But I do feel justified feeling positive about where the Vols are.

I feel like I'm starting to feel one of those feelings that you feel when you feel like you're about to feel a feeling like you've never felt before.

Every year before the season starts, I find a way to feel good about Vols football. This year is no exception.

And every year I say it feels different this time. I'm sure I could go back in my post history where I said that last year, and the year before, and the year before.

But it just kind of hit me after listening to Todd Kelly's interview, it's never truly different. It's always the same. It's Tennessee football. And there are reasons why we can and should win.

The only difference I'm feeling this year is coming from the players, and former players, our coaches, other fans, and most importantly my dad, a man who's followed the Vols longer than most of the fans on this site have been alive. The vibe really isn't like anything I'm used to, and I don't know how to describe it. But I like it. I like it alot. It feels like everybody is playing the same game, following the same path, going towards the same destination....FIND A WAY TO WIN. Do what it takes, whatever it takes, and find a way to win. And it feels good to be a fan of the Tennessee Vols!

Vollygirl this rejuvenation of UT football is similar to when Doug Dickey took over as hc in 1964...the vols had not been to a bowl since 1957. Had not won more the 6 games in years....Dickey came in and changed the way the Vols did business (power T on helmets, checkerboard endzone, renamed the band Pride of the Southland)..just like CBJ is doing now... I am excited for the first time since the Fulmer yrs. On that note VN should be warned, Dickey's first yr was 4-5-1 but took off in 2nd yr and those following that lead the Vols to national prominence and 5 straight bowl games (back when there were only a few bowls)

Good post.

Didn't care for "Dickey's first yr was 4-5-1" tho.
