Ironic. The main thread area is "Tennessee Coaching Rumors and Speculation". People are writing with "facts", "inside information", and "reliable source". Now we want to fire the AD for blowing something that no one knows for sure even happened because it was based on rumors and speculation. This is hilarious!

You are right, we don't know what Hart has been doing. BECAUSE he's apparently not been doing anything. And no info from inside program.

So I am an idiot because I think Dave Hart should be shown the door. If thats your opinion thats ok, you are entitled to it. I just think the way he has handled this search is terrible. If the reports are true that he waited until yesterday to contact Gruden camp given all the credible media sources citing interest then yes we shouldnt have trust in this AD. Even if there never was a chance, it should have been squashed before the rumblings got out of control. Look I realize asking for a petition on a message board is silly, but its a message board. Imnot naive enough to think it would be taken serious, rather giving a forum for other vol fans who are frustrated to say so. We are all on the same side and fanbase here. The only thing retarded or juvenile is name calling and picking fights on a message board with fellow fans. I hope Hart pulls a rabbit out of his hat here, I was all on board and trusted he knew what he was doing. Now, Im not so sure.

Yes, the petition was done half tongue in "Cheek". But it's ridiculous that this guy is driving the bus and his solution is....... tick.... tick.... tick....

Nobody really knows whats going on behind-the-scenes because Hart is keeping this private. Truthfully we have become the laughing stock of college football not because of anything the University has done but because of the fans knee-jerk response to bull chit reports from Chattanooga to Memphis. Reading some of the threads and posters is proof . If I were a coach and offered the job no amount of money would entice me to accept. Grow up people and put your britches on . A coach will be found and we need to support him .There is way more to life than this

How do you even know how he has handled this search? I guess I just can't see firing the guy before he has even hired someone just because a bunch of zealots on VN are butthurt because Gruden wasn't hired...nevermind that he was never even interested in the job.

If it is true that Dave Hart didn't go after Gruden 100% then he needs to go. Gruden would have been a slam dunk hire. He would have been the rockstar of college football, and we would have had instant HUGE national attention. I think if he didn't do absolutely everything possible to get Gruden he needs to go! We are on the 5 to 10 year plan now. Gruden would have been the 2 year plan!
