Fire Kiffin

Ok guys....Crompton played terrible, no doubt about that. However, I think Kiffin did the right thing by leaving the guy in. They still had a chance to win the game and salvage Crompton's confidence. They only need 3 yards to win this game, that is what is totally unacceptable.

Now let's start a new week, get behind our team and get Nick in as the starter, for better or worse he needs to be the man. Starting a TF at QB next year will be no easy road, get him all the game time that is possible starting next week at UF.

Go Vols, and freakn' back your team!

nice buck

At least Bray will graduate early & have the whole spring,SUmmer & Fall in the system. He will almost be like a redshirt Freshman.

If we got that fumble on the one yard line that the refs got wrong then everyone on here would not be *****ing so much. I know crompton sucks but we all knew that before the season we just hoped he was something different. But it takes time next year will be better.

Kevin Prince is a true freshman, he had a pretty big win today.

Doubt he can chew his food though

Prince is a Redshirt Freshman. And Bray would have to TRY to play worse than Crompton did. I doubt it will be long till JC gives way to Stephens. Crompton just looks absolutely lost on the field.....its sad. He has all the physical talent possible, but he is not even close mentally. He missed NUMEROUS wide open receivers. Point blank, if Stephens had been at QB, we win that game by AT LEAST 2 TD's....I firmly believe that. I hope Kiffin doesnt keep JC on as the starter cause he is afraid to admit he was wrong. CLK will get his players in there....we all have to take a deep breath and realize its the first year for this system...it will take time. Unfortunately, we have D2 at best level QB starting for us....if he stays with Crompton, we will NOT win 5 games.

IMHO we need to Lynch Fulmer

Not recruiting a QB for 3 years gets us in this situation. Filling your recruiting with "good ol boys" doesn't get it done.

Must be bunch of Fulmernites on this board. To paraphrase Johnny Majors " Recruit Recruit Recruit". Something the former regime didn't seem to work very hard at in many aspects. If you build it they will come - and they are lining up to play for the Tennessee Vols - give it some time. When the smoke clears, we will be at the top of the heap.

in the real world,we are who we thought we were.
I don't get why that's so hard for people to accept. Whatever you think of Kiffin, we didn't get to this point overnight and we won't recover overnight either.

Give the guy a break. A couple more top 5 recruiting classes and everyone will be singing his praises. Fulmer left him a team of chronic underachievers. He's got nothing to work with right now. We've got to take a program laxative and get some new guys who want to play well and win. This season was lost before we played our first game when we named crompton the starter.

i think we will take our bumps for the first two years. i see 7-5 or 8-4 at best but i will just like to see the boys in a bowl and build from there.

we have to completely extricate the fulmer culture of losing, hand-clapping at failures/mistakes, etc. from the program...

I'm sick.

Does it burn when you pee?
Do throw up in red, plastic bags?
Do you have a constant headache?
Do you have double vision without drinking?

It could be a nasty case of gator flu that is going around. My suggestion is lot's of Jack Daniels to purify your body. :good!:

In the long run, I agree, I believe we are fine. But for the present....we need a QB. I hate to be a NegaVol, but it is obvious.

I really have wondered why we haven't seen Stephens in a meaniful game situation yet. CLK is adamant that JC is his qb even after continued struggles. But, even though we were exposed as a very vulnerable team, I have confidence that our VOLS will surprise some teams and go 7-5 this season.

152-52 is a culture of losing? He was over matched the last 5-6 years against top 20 teams, but a culture of losing is going way too far. It is fair to say that he lost his ability to recruit against top tier SEC programs and consequently we started to lose fairly regularly to them. Nobody is ever going to be completly happy. Those who remember our magical 1998 season won't forget a game we should have lost Arkansas, and that Florida State played their 3rd string qb in the national championship game. But hey you all throw CPF under the bus with a 152-52 record, but still say we must extricate ourselves?
