It is as clear as orange and white that Hamilton is not going to do anything to Fulmer. The only thing he has done is hire Bruce Pearl and you could add he has not ran off Coach Summit. He makes sure those programs stay focused but the football program which adds more money to the university and pays for all other UT sports other then basketball is not going to do a damn thing to his friend Fulmer. Hey Hamilton in case you have not noticed when the football program is winning the whole city benefits from it. Stores sell more merchantise with UT licensed logos which means more money for the University. The bottom line do your damn job or get the hell out.

Men's basketball, women's basketball, softball, golf, track & field. Yeah, nothing to be proud of there.

I acknowledged Hamilton on hiring of Coach Pearl and not running Coach Summit off. The softball program lost Abbott and is no longer dominating, golf and track & field please how many SEC championships has those programs generated at UT recently?

Have you visited the campus recently? He's done a pretty good job with the facilities as well.

I have but that has nothing to do with making sure the #1 money generator UT has is running like a well oiled machine instead it is running on spit and bailing wire

I believe the men's golf team was the 2007 SEC champions and the track & field team was the 2007 SEC outdoor champions.

It does have a lot to do with what his job is. He is not football director, but Athletic Director. If he does not make the proper decisions after this football season, he will be dealt with. Not only a change, but the right hire. Hamilton is fully aware of the consequences.

How did that even make sense...

You said the post is filled with delusion...so is our football program when people think Fulmer should stay or given another chance. If we had an AD like most schools this would not have gotten to this point. Since applying heat to Fulmer falls on deaf ears (Hamilton) why not we put heat on him.

Who the hell on here has said Fulmer should stay or be given another chance...where do you get your info?

Just like he was aware the past 10 years and continues gives Fulmer extensions gotcha, my bad. TN Vols the new Vandy of the SEC. It made my night seeing the Bama faithful singing rammer jammer at Neyland. I wonder if the General rolled over in his grave?

He's not been AD for ten years.

did any of you actually watch or pay attention to the game tonight!!??? Mike Hamilton said that "he has learned over the years not to make hasty decisions based on wins or losses. He knows he must make decisions on coaches based on the 'body of work'." Maybe the first half of his tenure was incredible....around 85% winning and a few SEC championships and 1 national, but since around 67% winning and ZERO SEC championships and only a couple of appearances in the championship game, plus several bowl losses. Hamilton needs to keep quiet on this regardless of his true position. It makes him look foolish!! the old saying is, "if it aint broke dont fix it". Its broke, for sure, and it needs all new parts!!!

One would think that Hamilton would be aware of the consequences but you have to wonder if he really is after the hew contract extension and not firing Fulmer already. Maybe his close friendship with Fulmer has clouded his thinking so much that he is willing to risk his job to keep a friend.

Let's just start fires at many points around the university and burn the whole thing down and rebuild all buildings, workers and students! I can see all those people going down the river on ferrys right now!

I'm sure the news for Hamilton won't be good this week. In the paper today they said booster contributions were already drying up and that was before the Bama game. We're getting thumped in our own house and on TV. The writing was on the wall back in 2005 and Hamilton brushed it off as "having a off season and we've got spoiled". What's going to be his excuse this time?
