Really, it is hard for you to admit what Pruitt knew when he took this job. Tennessee was a DUMP SITUATION and it was gonna take some time to fix, heck he is way smarter and in touch with reality than most you jackasses calling for his firing. Fulmer knew it also. Reality is, history has repeated itself, we hired Neyland to beat Vandy when we were terrible, it took him about 3 years to get us going, same here, our program was in terrible shape, we lucked into Pruitt, get over your butt hurt selves, we are a dumpster fire that has shown a spark of life tonight but still has a long way to go, Pruitt will get us ressurrected and we will be fine. He is the closest thing we have had to a real concept Tennessee coach since Fulmer, hard nosed, blocking, tackling, special teams , physical team. We just have 3 types of players right now, hard nosed, young, and daisies, the dasies are fading fast but they are all we have in some cases and some have left the team, the young ones are gonna make mistakes but will learn and be fine and the hard nosed, well you saw them bring it tonight.

Agree, why is anyone mad we kept running a play that worked lol. JG throwing more picks and short throws would have had you guys burning mattresses.

Yea, we did not end the season with your highlights. This team was ended last year in a hole. Last night was a loss, but not regression.

Fhar fhar fhar. 14 games into a dumpster fire inheritance and the fans want us to fhar the coach because we're not mostly turned around. Every time we fhar someone early, we spiral down another notch to recovery.

So to be clear, you think we’re improving, if not for a botched play by a 4* DB in his 2nd year in Pruitt’s system that cost us the game?

Seriously, it's crazy how folks don't seem to notice how we got into this situation. You don't get out of a hole you dug by digging more. Even if Pruitt is the wrong guy, you've got to give him the 3rd season just to get the roster to full strength for the next guy.

when we routinely lose 10 games a season you can say we're the worst program in the country. Now, we simply suck. We used to be good. But after a decade of firing every coach who wasn't God, we suck. If the program does it your way, 10 loss seasons will be the new norm. What coach would want this job? Seriously, name one.

10 loss seasons will start this year and continue as long as Pruitt is the coach. 14 games in and regressing, cut your losses now.

Lot of people just looking to blindly complain. And it is easy to do given our state, but if they keep playing like last night and find some answers at QB, then good things will happen.

Our last 3 head coaches have been:

Derek Dooley
Butch Jones
Jeremy Pruitt

No other major program would have hired these guys.

Even South Carolina was smart enough to go after Muschamp. Muschamp has a 7-0 record against Tennessee as head coach.

No one wants to feel good about the direction of the program more than me, but I see a QB who is regressing - 2 pics already after throwing only 2 in the first 8 games last year even with a line that’s a little better and the same WRs - a defense that still can’t line up properly even after being in the system for 18 months, blown assignments, etc. The only positives I see right now is we have 2 RBs who are explosive. But all that has to be taken in context with who we’ve played the last 2 weeks. I doubt we get anything done in conference play on offense
