This is the same crap that catapulted them into the BCSNCG in 2012. They get the benefit of the doubt no matter what.

Ridiculous reasons given on ESPN to justify some of this bull****. Baylor, with a SOS of 109, because of who they have upcoming?? That makes sense.

Fla and bammer have the same record and three common opponents. One is 3-0, other is 2-1 to the common opponents. 2-1 is 6 spots ahead of 3-0. Makes perfect sense.

I'd be a tad pissed if I were UF but they can obviously change that.

Still, they have 1 loss, a touchdown loss to LSU.

Lol at Bama being ahead of Florida and Baylor being so high. Oh and Notre Dame at 5? Lmao

It's dumb. But as far as the SEC teams go, it'll play itself out, so current rankings are irrelevant. If any one of LSU, Bama, or Florida wins out, that team is going to the playoff.

Notre Dame being 5 is just downright egregious.

For those who advocate playoff expansion, keep in mind that Bama and Notre Dame would literally never miss the playoff. It would take 4 or 5 losses to keep them out of the top 10 by year's end.

Not no, but **** no. Win your conference or GTFO.

I love the line from ESPN "you have to look at how Alabama lost" lol. Really? Then why even play the game if losing it doesn't matter. They lost at home to Ole Miss, but apparently that doesn't matter.

Bottom line, if Tennessee had a kicker and the coaches that put the metal to the pedal we would be ranked # 1 in the rankings.

Your tears sustain me.

I sleep well at night knowing that Bama fans would have hung a makeshift banner and made their own crystal ball out of methamphetamine if the shoe were on the other foot that year.

Of course, we all know LSU wouldn't have sniffed the title game if they lost 9-6 that year. It would have been Bama - 52 Okie State - 3. Because the eye test only applies to Bama.

Clemson gave up alot of points last week -- I can see them losing to FSU if happens again

I don't sweat any of this.

In Florida's case, I'm pretty confident that if they won out including the SEC title, they'd be in. So, no reason to get all ticked off about it now.

However, I don't think they'll win out which is another reason there is no reason to complain at this point.

I seem to be in the minority, but I really feel like LSU is going to beat Bama.

The main reason is I am confident that they know where their bread is buttered and sometimes Kiffin forgets his best weapon offensively is Henry

Doubtful --its at Alabama and they have their own set of refs there --- LSU always implodes with stupid penalties.

Bama's style of defense; the 3-4, aggressive blitzing with press man coverage - this style of defense is designed to create negative plays and turnovers but it also results in a higher than average amount of penalty yardage at every level of football. Except for Nick Saban's Bama teams. That D can do no wrong.

I agree, but honestly at this point as long as it's not Ole Miss I'll be okay. The SEC does not need Ole Miss as its champion.
