it does and it appears CBJ is doing it in front of the team. Cam gets applause and congrats from everyone and it helps build him up. Will it win us games? Unlikely but it does help bring a team together

Exactly. It's the little things for them to shoot for that will snowball over time. It's a simple yet smart motivation tool.

Yep.

I'd imagine its a big deal for the freshmen. Your first few weeks at college can be rough and something like this might change a guy's outlook pretty quick (and give the others something to shoot for, I'd imagine you'll see a lot coming off in short order). Plus, it forms a relationship between Sutton and Randolph...who might now feel like he can 'guide' Sutton a little more. Maybe he loafs on a drill and Randolph gets into him for it. Potentially the relationship that's been established makes that constructive criticism a little easier to take.

Really a lot of positives when you dig down in to it.

I know it's up to their big brother (assigned by the coaches, in this case Randolph) to decide when it comes off. I don't know how Randolph is supposed to determine whether or not it comes off.

Maybe not initially but over time I think that along with the recruiting this staff has done will translate to wins.
