According to Treece today, Creamer is not playing nor has he played any WR this Spring. He has been moved to LB and is only taking reps at that position. Said he doesn't anticipate him being moved

This is completely accurate to what I heard, especially with Croom progressing. By looking at Creamer's highlights he looks better on D without even considering our depth at WR. No disrespect to the kid as he can ball.

Heard Doug Matthews say this morning that with his position change, it's likely he redshirts this year.

As a Redskins fan, I'd welcome any comparison to D Green. He compensated for his lack of size by playing an outside technique almost all the time. Seemed to work out well for him.

Eric Allen once described Darrell Green's game this way: "He used his speed to be able to see the quarterback through the receiver. So that gave him an advantage because if the pressure was getting there fast, and the quarterback was going to have to throw early, he could see that ball and break on it. But the one downfall of that was, if you are facing a big receiver like Mike Quick or Michael Irvin, they are going to play basketball on you, shield you so you can't get the inside ball and they can catch the ball."

Not to be a downer, but Green was w-a-y faster than most receivers he faced. Is anyone claiming Payne has that kind of speed advantage over SEC-quality receivers? 'Cause we know they don't play small in this conference.

Josh Malone - Justo Hunter 2.0

Von Pearson - Compact version of Cordarrelle Patterson

Dontavius Blair - Looks thepart butnot ready. But if Butch is
as good at developing as claimed, look for Blair to show noticeable progress toward the end of this year.

Neiko Creamer - I predict he's goign to see action as a situational WR, probably an over the middle target.

Emmanuel Moseley - Got a hunch his speed factor is oging to mean interceptions. Kind of guy you to avoid when passing but it's hard to do so. I know who I'm thinking about, Lem Barney!
Moseley is Barney 2.0.

D’Andre Payne - Not sure what to think of this seriously under-sized guy. But got a sneaking suspicion he will Herb Adderley 2.0.

My "Old School" brotha

Payne will be in the Nickel covering the slot.

It's been difficult to tell if Helm or Wolf has an upper hand at TE so far. The coaches seem to love them both. My gut tells me it's Helm.

I've been wondering this myself. Both have gotten a lot of praise from the coaches. It might come down to situational influences. Wolf looks like he has the size to be a really good all around TE. And my gut is telling me Helm will be more of a receiving specialist..ish.

We will see. That is going to be a fun spot on the field to watch during the O&W game :)

Wolf's been running with the 1s thus far fwiw. However, Butch singled Helm out after the 4th or 5th practice as one of the players who stood out.

I'd be willing to bet that neither will get redshirted this year....w/o injury of course.

Ainge - "Nobody, and I mean nobody, can cover Von Pearson. This is looking less and less like a knock on the secondary and more of a reflection of just how good Pearson is. Every time Pearson caught a ball on Tuesday it was an explosive play that left me and Jayson Swain in awe of his ability. After every play Von made, Swain would scream at me and give me the ’Swain-face’…Needless to say, we think Von Pearson is the real deal.

Josh Malone scored at least three touchdowns in team periods on long explosive plays. He touched the ball on screens, go-routes, as well as short passes and made big yards after the catch all day. He is really starting to come along. Josh is a great example of someone who took the time off during Spring Break to get better. *Sidenote* When Malone scored his first long touchdown, Marquez North sprinted the length of the field to celebrate with him and screamed, “It’s about time you scored one, Josh.” These guys are pushing each other and cheering for each other on every play.

Daniel Helm made another one-handed catch with a defender draped all over him. He has a lot to learn, but he continues to show the ability to make plays in this league."

Man this gets me PUMPED UP!! I am seriously setting myself up for major disappointment this fall if this offense isn't as explosive as I imagine it will be.
