Been saying it for months. Some on here would have you to believe that it’s ALL JG /the offense’s fault. 🙄

Spot on. Some of the talking heads on here said as soon as we see a new QB, everything will change. The only reason the defense is bad is because of JG. Those who said that now look dumber than ever after reading that tweet.

how can you expect the defense to continually play at any level if they’re on the field as much as they were?

Is it all on the offense no but they carry more of it because changes weren’t made sooner.

Yeah they forgot how to coach DB's. Poor quarterback play will certainly hurt your defense, but just because a kid chooses another school and says he believes the coaches can get him to the NFL doesn't mean the coaches at the previous school couldn't. I will be shocked if our 2 current corners don't play in the NFL.

I understand your thought process, but it's one recruit. If there were a trend beginning, I'd be worried.

Well, when I was an 18 year old kid I knew it all so we should sit back and listen to all of them...
Point of view might be correct but surely it’s weighted by more than a kids commitment statement. I wasn’t expecting him to say he’s singing somewhere that won’t land him in the league...

Seriously, there's not much of another way to look at it..
-Position of real need.
-Committed to us until recently.
-Lays it out in clear english that's why he has just committed to NOT Tennessee.

It was an interesting year in recruiting for sure. Tennessee’s record didn’t help the Vols obviously with guys like Nyland Green and Amarius Mims. Both at one point told Tennessee privately they were coming. Same for Tyrion Ingram Dawkins. On Damarius McGhee, Tennessee’s struggles/uncertainties as well as some strong ties in his high school to LSU were too much for the Vols in the end.

He had people pushing him to LSU the whole time. Even if we were winning, he may not have come. Unless I'm mistaken, his words weren't as much an indictment of our coaches as an explanation of why he chose LSU. Granted, I could be misremembering what he said, but I'm not going to go check because I don't really care that much. If he did specifically say that he thinks our coaches are bad, in that type of phrasing, then I do apologize.
