'19 FL DE Khris Bogle (UF signee)

Is Miami still really the favorite cane fans had meltdown of the year after Diaz left for temple

and I’m pretty sure he just lazily promoted somebody within

Miami leads by large on crystal balls but I think Bama and UT have a lot better shot then the experts think

IF they lose out on Bogle and Tyrique Stevenson they’ll melt like a mfer boy lol

Miami needs to start recruiting nationally more sofla kids don’t give 2 ***** about the U lol they will never have that fence they hoping for around Dade/Broward/West palm beach

NEVER unless they luck into another jimmy Johnson for whatever reason they think Butch Davis could put together another roster like he did in the late 90s lol

If it weren't for mama, I think we'd land him.

If Pruitt steals this kid from bama after stealing crouch from Dabo

Can’t do nothing but give that man seriously heavy props cuz thats tough

Esp Clemson, Bama oversigns so some kids ain’t too keen on 2-3 years on the bench

Your exactly right Big Boi. I live down here in South Florida and my daughter went to Southridge and friends with Stevenson before she transferred to South Dade for her Sr. Year. She tells me Stevenson like Georgia and might sign there. Frank Ladson the bigtime WR at South Dade signed with Clemson tp prove your point. Countless other kids are leaving South Florida to head to the SEC, Clemson, Oklahoma and even Oregon and other schools. The U doesn't have the glamour and bad boy image as it used to have in the 90's and even early 2000's.

Richt is treading water and many Canes fans and former players want him gone like tomorrow and he did promote within for the DC job to replace Diaz - Elphrain Banda or somebody like that. Never heard of him! lol

Top uncommitted recruits in the 2019 class (247Sports)
9) KHRIS BOGLE | WDE

8523234.jpg

High school: Cardinal Gibbons, Ft Lauderdale, FL

Measurables: 6-4 | 215

247Sports Composite: 4-star (0.9701), No. 57 Overall, No. 3 WDE

Evaluation: Streamlined physique with exceptionally long arms that nearly hang to his knees. Slender build with room to pack on significant weight. Appears taller than he measures due to his length and build. Fluid speed rusher who uses his length and long stride to make plays in the backfield. Uses his range to track down plays in backside pursuit. Good athlete who should improve his explosion, strength and size with time in a college level strength and nutrition program.

Will need time early in his career as he’s underdeveloped physically. Needs to continue getting stronger, which will aid in setting the edge and holding his ground at the point of attack. Projects as a late-career Power 5 starter who should see considerable improvement over the course of his college career with his best football being played as an upperclassman. Should hear his name called on the second day of the NFL draft. – 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Charles Power

NFL Draft projection: 2-3 Round (Day 2)

Player comparison: Barkevious Mingo | OLB | Seattle Seahawks

247Sports Crystal Ball: Miami 88% | Tennessee 4% | Louisville 4% | Alabama 4%

Those nfl projections are LAUGHABLE. Those people have no idea what type of nfl player these guys will be. They should be in the business of TRYING to predict their college career.

You’re right but a lot of recruiting is just a guess. Maybe it should come with a disclaimer saying that it is for entertainment purposes only.

Recruiting services evaluate talent. Fortunately, collegiate success depends on a whole host of other virtues including dedication, work ethic, and heart.. all of which are not factored into star ratings.

5-star hearts, amirite?

(Jk... it’s obvious that intangibles are important. I just couldn’t pass on that layup.)

Anybody else think the Jordan brand stuff looks cheap? Especially for football.
It certainly looks stupid. I keep waiting for Tennessee to sign on as the first Roger Federer branded college football team. That RF will look so fresh on the front of a pantone 151 Jersey. 🙄

There are always a small amount of exceptions

Obviously the recruiting services are better than random chance at predicting who will be a good player, and don’t get me wrong — bring me all the 5-stars.

But the idea that JC Shurburtt can reliably predict the NFL futures of high school kids is indeed laughable when NFL GMs/staffs can’t reliably predict the NFL future of college players.

Also, notwithstanding my own star-gazing tendencies, the thought of how our fan base would react to Khalil Mack in our class as a low (barely ranked) 2-star inside linebacker is pretty hilarious, with the benefit of hindsight knowing that he’s earned the biggest contract for a defensive player in NFL history as an elite pass rusher.
