Understand. I've seen recruiting for years and years from the perspective of the kid. Looks a lot different from their side. Some just can't conceive of leaving what they know. One kid (won't name him) several years ago was seriously down to UT or UF, then Mom got cancer. Ended up at another D1 school 30 miles away. We never really know what all is involved in the process.Agreed. I think it had to do with his offer list. Some see the big time schools on there and are baffled why he would choose UCF.

He can get drafted from anywhere, but chances are he'd get drafted higher from a school in a tougher conference where he was proving himself week in and week out.Yeah there are many reasons why kids choose to go to certain schools over another. The emergence of NIL really makes it more complicated to try and figure out why kids decide to go somewhere. Just like this situation. Maybe it’s an NIL thing.
My thing is I just don’t see why some thinks it’s weird that kids decide one school over another.
