If he waits, he's risking his spot IMO. Tennessee is willing to take him NOW. They'll have more options (hopefully) in the Spring, and they may decide after Spring practice that other positions are of more need. Not saying he won't have a spot, but it's a possibility he won't have a spot.

And to be honest, it's absolutely better for him, if he's coming to Tennessee, to enroll now so he can participate in off-season workouts and Spring practice.
