Well consistently out recruiting them is always an uphill battle because their state is a treasure trove of recruiting riches. It would take us poaching a ton of talent from their back yard that Miami and FSU are already hanging out in and Georgia/Alabama have a seasonal pass into that state. Until we start kicking their head in and making national noise then 4 star in state kids will continue to line up to play there.

How does Florida have not 1 or 2 but 5 DTs just in this class who are 4 stars, yet none want to commit to us to be coached up by Garner who has put his share in the league. That makes no damn sense to me. Yes it's easy to recruit your share in Florida, but we need some good DTs here and I would argue with anyone that our position coach is better than ours. So what gives here? That's our hole when it comes to recruiting this year. We need a couple of big uglys who aren't projects to really solidify this class. Games are won and lost in the trenches.

Garner always closes well and he brought in a great DL class last year. Not worried about RG getting his.

Let’s not forget that we have Trevor Duncan and Nathan Robinson committed as well who by both accounts have said they are being recruited as DL. That will make 4 DL we currently have committed and 3 out of those 4 will be interior DL by the time it’s all said and done. Both Duncan and Robinson are already 260+ and are monsters.

I haven't forgot, Duncan is already around 280. We will be ok on the DL especially with a late sneak in because of Garner. Hope Hobbs joins us and one more true inside guy should be cherry on top.

I mean if we had that kind of in state talent we would be turning four star DTs away. You act like you understand but you really don’t seem to understand just how much talent is in their state and region. Hell look at their commitment list when they go out of state it isn’t far. Not to mention a lot of kids are legacies.

Would love to have a couple more DTs but I’m not interested in trading classes with them.

He is around 280 and is likely about 6-8 %body fat. he will be able to play at 290-300 and be a terror on defense.

Good points. But it’s also fair to compare the offer lists of Duncan and Robinson to UFs DL commits.

Duncan- TN, UK, Perdue, VT, Vandy and WVU.

Robinson- TN, UK, Akron, Austin Pea, Eastern Kentucky, Indiana, Ole Miss, Vandy and WVU.

Norman- TN, UK, TAMU, UF, Cincy, Auburn, FSzu, Maryland, LSU, PSU, UM, Michigan St and OU

Collings- Bama, UGA, UF, SC, TN, Clemson, AU, Arky, Miami, LSU, FSU, TX, TAMU, TN, UK and OU.

Searcy- UF, TN, AU, Clemson, SC, FSU, UGA, UM and UNC.

That’s just 3 or their 5 4* DL. Pretty significant differences in those offer lists.

No way in hell will Jackson win the job over Nico.... he may understand the offense better but Nico is a game changing QB. No team in America sits a gamer at any position. He will be given a shot sure.... Nico is already light years ahead of Jackson as a passer.. Unless Nico gets hurt he will be the guy.

He was recruited by Ellarbee AND Garner. Says it in his 247 profile plain as day, you just chose not to include Garner because it supports your narrative. And in at least 2 interviews he said that we recruited him as a defensive linemen. So if the recruit literally tells people that UT is recruiting him as a defensive lineman, is your opinion better than his?
