‘23 FL OT Lucas Simmons (FSU commit)

So the only options are "stardom" and "trash". Forgive me for thinking he is probably somewhere in the middle.
Nowhere near the play caller that Dan Mullen is, but much better recruiter. What that translates to is still to be determined.
Well why didn’t you say that in the first place!!!!!!!!
I think he’s mediocre at best but I didn’t realize you didn’t think he was a star……

That is all I have ever said. Most calling him Sunbelt Billy or Butch 2.0.
Dooley, Butch and Pruitt all had losing records their first year, Napier probably won't. Doesn't make him great, doesn't make him trash.
Hopefully he is closer to the trash, but he is recruiting pretty well right now.

Sunbelt Billy gonna coach ‘em up……..
Nothing he has done this year has been impressive…. He went 1-3 against the four good teams on the schedule and got lucky having all summer to prepare for Utah. Lost to uk which was embarrassing. Beat a bunch of bad teams…
He’s not bitch 2.0, Beamer holds that title…. But he could be Pruitt 2.0. Both are bald headed special talented coaches we’ll say.
k

Billy Napier inherited a more talented roster than Heupel.

Recruiting the state of Florida alone should win you 10+ games every year.

And doesn't appear to have improved either offense or defense over last year. Heupel took a 3-7 team to 7-5 and raised offense to #3.

Records may be similar, but nothing else.

How has Napier improved performance on the field compared to last season outside of keeping the team from quitting? Disregard the back half of last season when UF had quit. I'm wondering if Napier has coached up that team in any way. I think early season 2021 UF looked like a better team than what 2022 UF has looked like...but that's just my opinion.

If FL was smart, they’d let Billy crash and burn next year, send him packing and cut the purse strings for Sonny Dykes. That dude would be near invincible with the FL talent bed.

Don’t give them any ideas lol
LOL, this team his a very real chance of finishing with 9 wins and a top 15-20 final ranking as Billy is still in the process of tearing this thing to the ground and rebuilding it, not to mention a great recruiting class. Things are fine, we're quite happy with were this thing is headed.

Dont give a sh!t where it's headed; but, I do know where it's at...0-1 against Josh Heupel and the Vols.

Yeah he entertainingly managed to alienate alumni and damn near every high school staff he happened to bump into. Also fractured the lockerroom mighty nicely as well with his handling of DR. Pruitt sucked no doubt but Dools had him beat.
Our offenses were fun to watch under him. Had Justin Wilcox never left I think we would’ve had a pretty damn good team in 2012

Except that Florida will lose to FSU... which wrecks all of your math.

You act like I think Doofus was a good coach. He wasn't. But Pruitt was worse, imo. Pruitt had zero clue how to be a HC. It was crystal clear from the start. Probably the worst in game play caller I've ever seen.

You've got legitimately the most talented QB in the nation and Napier has no idea how to use him properly. You think things are going to get better with a LESS talented QB?

Stop with the rebuilding BS. Mullen left him in great shape. He doesn’t have to build anything. He walked into the 12th most talented roster in the nation.
