Finishing 5th at elite 11 would seem to put him in prime position so not sure why it a joke

I like what I saw out of this promising commit on the rise including:

63% completion percentage overall

Decent TD to INT ratio

On the Championship winning team

Showed quick release

Showed accuracy (even on deep passes)

Demonstrated top tier arm strength with that 63 yard pass

Encouraging other elite recruits/prospects to join him at Tennessee and

Proved he belongs in every 2019 Class National Top 5 Quarterbacks discussion.

He really did well for himself again, this time at The Opening Finals at one point winning confidence over the #1 in the country based on his performance as part of the team that went on to win the Championship. This showed he's not going to shy away from the spotlight but will step up and deliver.

Up to now, all the evidence points to a solid performance from Brian Maurer and solid recruiting work from Coach Helton.

If he's already performing like this, just imagine what he's going to do once working Coach Helton at Tennessee.

I really like the upside to this kid. The only knock I have is his footwork. I'm no QB guru by a longshot, but his footwork is not pretty. The good news however, is that it's an easy fix. Helton helps him perfect that then everything else mechanically will fall in line

Kid is already better than any of the current QBs in the NFL.

He is certainly has a better chance to QB the Vols to an SEC championship than any of the current NFL QBs.
