'19 FL QB Brian Maurer (Tennessee signee)

Gluten intolerance imo. Can't eat noodles.

Is popcorn gluten free?

You know what's funny? It wasn't Mills that originally said Maurer had a "Noodle" arm. He said Maurer had "bad mechanics" and a "bad arm"...I then said; How could the guy..according to the coaches.."Make all the throws" if he had a noodle arm?...and it went from there.

Is there new updates from 247 on Maurer ( because I’m lazy , yes )

The Audible podcast (with Stew Mandell and Bruce Feldman) is good this week. Bruce talks with Joey Roberts, of the Alliance of American Football and the Elite 11, about The Opening.

Roberts mentions Maurer as the biggest positive surprise among underrated guys coming in. He also discussed how QBs are evaluated, and how important in-game performance. Made me understand better why Maurer didn’t pop as much as expected in his rating after the opening. Need to see him produce more this fall I guess to get a better rating. Regardless you should check it out.

Correct. His High School stats weren't as impressive as some of the guys in The Opening and he had a High TD to Turnover ratio which probably doesn't help him climb the recruiting boards.

You never know when the light might turn on. I remember Peytons numbers his rookie year in the league.

This is my favorite college football podcast. Keeps you really well informed. Feldman is very sympathetic to the misery of Vols fans the last 10 years. Mandell has extremely high expectations for where the Tennessee program should be and was trashing Butch’s performances long before that was a popular view.

Spot on. Also, Peyton never had a great arm.

Peyton has always had a great arm he could put the ball wherever he wanted it , maybe look like a shot duck but it would get there . Peyton’s prob was his feet that why he earned the nick name “ happy feet”

Peyton had a very accurate arm. And make no mistake, he could make all the nfl throws (obviously).

But he never had a cannon.

His feet were his biggest asset. They allowed him to get the ball on time and on the mark. He was taught to move his feet to stay on balance when he threw.
