Pruitt has been scheduled to be there all week. Even before the Helton news. Maurer wouldn't give any specifics but said he and Pruitt have had talks about the direction of the offense and the OC search.

not sure why he would. maurer is '19, bailey is '20, for now at least. maurer also seems to love competition.

There's a video in this thread where they interviewed Mauer about the Elite 11, and how he came in there as the unheralded guy and turned heads. If you watch that, you'll come away with the feeling that Mauer doesn't gaf about competition. I think you could bring in Bailey next year, bring in Tagliavowels this year, et cetera... and Mauer will just buckle his chinstrap and go to work.
