'18 FL QB Joe Milton (Tennessee commit)

Cam Newton had one of the all time great years in college football history. How stupid is it that fans put unreal expectations on these kids then get pissed when they don’t meet the hype they created.

Also, it took until Cam’s 3rd year for him to be Cam.
No one was putting expectations on him. It was more a tongue-in-cheek/hoping for a hail mary type find in the portal. Have a beer and stop taking message boards so seriously.

No, taking expectations going into Michigan.

Calm down sir

It’s just what some fans do. Some do the same for coaches.

didnt he have Teblow ahead of him at Flarduh? As soon as he skinned out, Urban started having heart troubles.

Pretty sure Milton isnt Cam Newton. Why do I know that? Because his (Milton's) recruitment isn't nearly as hotly contested as Cam's was.

Ex-Gator QB Newton to make Auburn third stop

He is not Cam. Not sure people will see another Cam in the way he set college on fire that yr at Auburn. Fields closest one I have seen in terms of size and arm strength but while he can run it doesn’t compare to Cams playmaking ability when he took off. Fields probably a better potential passer though. I’m not expecting anything like those two from Milton.

He is a semi big name.
QB coach for Sam Bradford when he won the Heisman.

Landry Jones a 4th round pick.

Trevor Knight still in the league.

Identified Jordan Love as a special talent and landed him at Utah State.

Turned Drew Lock into a 2nd round draft pick.

Inherited McKenzie Milton at UCF and lit it up in year 1 (and probably goes undefeated if Milton doesn’t have that gruesome injury).

Recruited Dillon Gabriel and had him lighting it up as a freshman.

The dude’s QB resume is damn near as good as it gets. Cutcliffe has him beat. Maybe Lincoln Riley. But if Heupel has similar success here then he will have a similar prestige and we will be doing just fine.

Watching the every snap highlights of Indiana and Michigan St games and while he make his own dumb throws at times his WRs were horrificly bad. I mean bad. So many easy drops on chain moving plays.
could be case of nontouchitis. JG was king of throwing a 110mph fastball low and away to wide open HB in flat, after missing reads on two open WR's.

next series, 30 yard dime pass with NFL catch. Palmer leaves game, sits bench to 2nd half. 3 consecutive hand offs to two future transfer players

Our WRs much better. Mich dudes were dropping easy passes. Milton shows better instincts that Jg imo but that doesn’t mean much as JG has zero.

Jg had awesome instincts. To check down, every play. No matter what. 1st receiver, nope, HB. Wormburner.

I don't know why everyone is making a big deal out of this. If he comes here and starts then it means Heupel believes he can win. If he comes here and sits the bench because he's "overrated" then so what?
