Cain’s recruitment has included a number of twists and turns. He’s looked bound for both LSU and Texas at different times this year. Now Penn State has re-inserted itself as a serious player and possibly the frontrunner. Cain’s parents visited University Park without the four-star running back’s accompaniment months ago, which was a serious indicator of interest. Now, it seems like the Nittany Lions will have a puncher’s chance to steal his commitment away from Texas. Georgia and Tennessee are still involved as well, but Cain seems unlikely to land in Athens or Knoxville.
