'22 FL WR CJ Smith (Georgia commit)

He may not have said it, but at UCF the entire WR group got a lot of run. 5 and 6 guys not including Juice Anderson. (So make that 7 guys)

After the Florida game We pretty much ran the same 4 guys out there every meaningful series.
I would definitely follow those hints
Do you guys even pay attention to the game. Heupel runs a very fast hurry up offense that requires no substitutions, if the offense substitutes the defense has the same right to substitute. That's basically the reason he keeps the same WR in the game.

Jay knows his stuff with heupel and UCF. He is more familiar with what they do than any of us

So all the players that have flooded the portal are because their coaches don’t like them as opposed to they want more playing time?
Why can't a coach love the kid but not love the fit of individuals for whatever reason? If a kid isn't playing he's not good enough.

I also never used the term like or dislike either.

Someone started it with Basillio saying the coaches don’t like the talent at WR. Sure they did not tell him that. Someone said they would have played more. Just because they didn’t play more does not automatically mean they won’t be ready next year. We used to do it that way all the time. The seniors got the most work because they were ready. The more you get then the ball, the bigger their numbers, and then look what recruits see. And the coaches are recruiting better players at all positions not just WR.

It's still possible, but don't you find it odd that if we had so many disgruntled players, wouldn't someone (anyone) have entered the portal already? Most kids want to have a destination set to transfer for the spring semester. Not one has entered the portal since the season ended. Also, no reports of anyone not participating in bowl prep.

Basilio did state they're not happy with the younger group. The thing is both the Jim Dawgs were basically pure athletes without a true home in high school. They have great speed but sometimes it just doesn't pan out. I've heard it from others that as well that we were going to the portal or over recruiting these guys... it appears so with the possibility of taking 5 wr.

I think it's a testament to the kids seeing the season through or going to the portal and competing against superior wrs in the portal at this point. It's not like they were all world receiver prospects... one was a converted qb and they basically have zero stats or film.

Not every transfer is due to negative relationships between coaches and players. If you believe that turn your high school diploma in and try again.
I never said it was lmao. I’m referring to you saying the kids aren’t good enough.

Tim Shepherd is reporting that UF, TA&M, and OU are being investigated for improper NIL benefits.

Hmmmm... if true this has to help.
As we've witnessed, the NCAA doesn't have to actively do anything right away for it to hurt you. This is a major negative recruiting tool for everybody else. It feels good to be on the opposite end of all the shenanigans going on right now.
