'20 FL WR Malachi Wideman (Tennessee signee)

I'd trade Beckwith for Evans. It's been said that Evans has precognition's before every snap, so that's why his vision is so good. He doesn't want to let the cat out the bag, so he let's the defense tackle him sometimes.
Hope he uses his precog every play against Florida.

Honestly I'm not sure how it works anymore. I've seen it posted both ways and not sure which is correct. I've even seen mods say we could sign 27 this year. It's all confusing. I would imagine Mays and Jones would count towards this scholarship class and still have a few left. I'll be curious to see how it plays out, especially if we somehow land Evans and atleast 1 WR. We're still offering guys in the 20 class also.
A lot of the offers are contingencies...there’s a pecking order. A complicated yet interesting situation would be if we landed a commit from Evans and we hold that scholarship until he enrolls...yet he doesn’t since he can’t sign a LOI. I wouldn’t really hate that aside from not benefiting from his talent. It would hedge a bet against throwing a blueshirt out for another spot and taking away from next season’s 25. Which I’m anticipating as a much more talented overall class.

Wideman, Beckwith, and Evans are all top level talents. There are only two spots, but the coaches would find a way to take all of them if they wanted in.

Lol that's solid newt🤣

When I see his athleticism on the hardwood, I just salivate a the thought of Wideman going up against a 5'10" corner. We lose Jennings and Calloway who were match-up nightmares for defenses. This kid would fill that role quite well I suspect.

This guy and Evans would be the idea close. Arguably need Wideman more. Evans takes a good RB room and makes it top 2-3 in the conference.
Nice seeing you on here, again. Have you heard any information on either of them?

Added confusion by there now being 2 limits to follow, but mods usually only respond about initials. I think up to 27 would be possible, with a couple blueshirts, only because we may be able to backcount a couple signing spots, though we have no room to backcount initial counters.

Honestly don't think anyone knows our exact number outside of the Coach's. The VQ mods quoted Pruitt saying we could sign 27. I've given up trying to figure this scholarship number thing out.

Absolutely! I really hope we can land Evans, one of the WR's and maybe one more Grad transfer. Also that new JUCO DLineman would be nice too. I really had .y hopes up on Hardy, so I try to temper my excitement about Evans and the WR recruits. With our Coaching staff, we have a fighters chance with some of the more elite recruits.

I really would say we only have a mediocre RB room. Adding Evans would make it a excellent room. With Evans and Gray, we would not see a lot of Chandler and Jordan. CFA would have to change positions again.

It's definitely becoming very confusing. One minute we hear there's a hard 25 cap, but then there's exceptions and loopholes so I don't even try to understand it anymore.

I honestly wouldn't be shocked if Jordan transferred at some point. With Whitehead and Hodges being the bruising type backs it could push Jordan down the pecking order. Jordan runs hard but he isn't a burner and doesn't have a bruising RB frame, he's kinda right in the middle of not having either tools the Coach's want. Then if by some miracle we get Evans I don't see Jordan or CFA getting many touch's. Believe Gray established himself as our #1 and needing a bruiser to compliment each other. Whitehead is the one current, Incoming recruit I'm excited to see with his size.

I think adding Whitehead, Small and Hodge make it a good RB room, Evans would make it close to elite. Gray, Chandler and Whitehead were all mid to high *4 recruits. Like Hodge's potential as well. Small is the one I know little about. Really don't think we get Evans but damn if we did our RB group goes from good to great.

Who else will be in the RB room next year?

4* Gray, 4* Chandler and 4* Whitehead top the RB room plus Jordan, Hodge and Small..also CFA..adding Evans with that top group would make for a very good to great RB room. Really think Hodges is very underrated.
